Old & Dingy Hotel - BAD experience

The rooms are OLD & DINGY with poor lighting. Buffet was closed, so was pool, but the did NOT disclose that fact or I would NOT have booked here. DECEITFUL if you ask me. Checked out early since the pool was closed. UNHAPPY! It was DIFFICULT to get refund on 2nd night. Bed was old and hard, rooms gross. Satin on the ceiling, that was stained and dirty. The smell was awful. We were so disgusted by room we did not waste our money in the casino. Came in town on Friday for concert and intended to make a mini vacation of it, but was grossed out by hotel we left early Saturday. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE

Disappointed

Room was nice. However one bed bug came out of nowhere. Wish they would have put on where i booked room that the swimming pool was not going to be open at any time this year. That was the main purpose for booking hotel rooms was to get in pool.

Very poor

The carpet was sticky and disgusting to walk on barefoot. The bed sloped to the head, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The AC would only go on fan and did not cool the room down. Has not been updated in years. There is some type of vinyl looking fabric on the ceiling that has major stains on it. The small fridge is sitting out in the corner and looked like it had been dropped several times before making its way to the room. The safe did not work and when we tried to call down to hotel staff, no one was at the front desk. When we walked down to hotel desk, other people were yelling for someone to come help check out, and help them buy drinks. We were there for 30 minutes and no one ever came to the desk. I would not stay here again EVER!!

The hotel was great the staff was super friendly!! We booked a jacuzzi suit but didn’t get to enjoy it cause some type of pink fabric kept coming out the jets no matter how much we tried to clean it out!!

Thought I'd Try Them Again

It has been years since my last stay at Boomtown - we use to stay there frequently. After they started adding on the "resort fee" (which is a total rip-off), we stopped staying there. If I know there is a "resort fee" at a hotel we stay somewhere else. Since I found a reasonably priced room at Boomtown this trip, I decided to try them again. Really, not a bad stay. The room was large, clean, and the bed was average - could have been better. My only complaint was a very slippery shower and a TV that took about 20 -30 minutes to get working. The room could have also had more light. Overall, not bad, and with a good rate, would stay there again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dining options limited tp snack bar due to COVID but the food and service were very good
