We enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid! Room clean. Beds comfortable. Walking distance to town. Oodles to do!

Rooms very dated, carpeting in hallways old/fading and had to run water at least 5 minutes to get hot water to wash hands and shower. The toilet kept running after flushed so had to giggle handle and pillows on bed too soft/don't hold shape (could use new ones). Views beautiful and staff were friendly and sidewalks were well shoveled for walking to town.

The Crowne Plaza was awesome! Very clean, comfortable and convenient. Its in a great location and everyone is very friendly!

This was our third year in a row staying here for a ski trip. We stayed in the Adirondack section of the hotel in a beautiful suite with an amazing view of Mirror Lake and the town center. The main restaurant is a fantastic room with wonderful views and good food. There is a large pool and hot tub that my kids loved. The front desk is very quick to respond to requests and check-in/check-out was fast and easy. If you are facing the lake, this hotel probably has the best views in the whole town because it's on a hill overlooking everything. (I usually don't care about views but in this case they're so amazing that they must be mentioned.)

The hotel was clean and the staff was nice until the checkout. When I got to the hotel I was charged a deposit of $20. Nothing wrong with that. When I checkout the clerk told me that the total balance is 161.68 I used the card but the card rejected the transaction for safety reasons. Tried again but the account was frozen. After unfreezing my account, the 3rd time the transaction went thru but this time I was charged $181.68 I asked the clerk why? I asked why in less than 5 minutes the bill changed from 161.86 to 181.86. She said that in the first transaction the taxes were not included. Ya right, like the taxes would ended up to be exactly $20. This is what bothered me the most. I don't like when people treat me like an idiot. She printed and showed me the itemized bill. I took a look at the itemized bill and it looked OK (but definitely the taxes were NOT $20) so maybe she did a mistake the first time. In that case at least admit it. I asked if it was because of the $20 deposit maybe, the first time when she charged me, she had in mind to reimburse it and later on she changed her mind for some reason. She said no, and that my deposit will be reimbursed in a few days. Today is one week since my checkout and the reimbursement still is not reflected in my card statement.

Our family went for a few days before Christmas 2020. The hotel was very nice and nicely decorated for the holiday! There could have been a bit more decorations but it was still very very nice. Honestly, the resurant, location, views and everthing was great! I am going to be really petty!!!! They should have been playing christmas music in the lobby but they were just playing pop music or nothing. That would have been the cherrie on the whipped cream!!! Very nice staff all around!!

Wonderful place to stay with the family. The kids loved the pool and it’s a convenient location to walk all around downtown. Food was also good and kid friendly menu.

Such a beautiful view and hotel. Very clean and friendly staff! Would 100% recommend.

Very friendly, professional and accommodating staff. Good location, close to the Main Street, dog friendly! Breakfast and dinner were amazing!

This was my second time at the Crowne Plaza in Lake Placid. I stayed in the Adirondack wing with a Mountain View and fireplace. The room was a nice size and very comfortable. Overall the hotel is well run and location is very convenient. I’d highly recommend.
