Amazing & beyond our expectations. Perfect location. Set in a quiet neighborhood just a couple of blocks from all the attractions on State street - Museum, restaurants, theaters etc. Accommodations are spacious, comfortable and impeccably maintained in Craftsman and Victorian buildings. Excellent complementary breakfast served each morning. Highly recommend.

Good stay, but a little disappointed

Overall, we enjoyed the stay. But a couple of things we found disappointing. After booking the room, the hotel contacted me by phone as they had difficulty with the credit card being used. During the conversation, I relayed to the woman who assisted me that this was being booked to celebrate our marriage. She mentioned that she would make a note of it for our stay (she volunteered this and made it sound like they would be doing something nice for us). However, there was no acknowledgment of our marriage. Now, we would normally not expect anything, but given the response that day, we were under the assumption they would. So that was disappointing. Another disappointment was that the refrigerator in the room was not keeping anything cool. They would not replace the refrigerator with one from another room and did not attempt to fix it. We were told we could use the downstairs public refrigerator (just label our items). As we had wedding cake that we would need to store, we were forced to find another arrangement which was inconvenient. They did offer their kitchen refrigerator, but our wedding reception would end long after their kitchen closed. Bummer. The staff was nice in general and it is a cute B&B. But those two issues took away from the overall experience. For most people, I think this is a very nice place. We just had a little bad luck.

Louise, Angie, Andrea and the rest of the team at the Cheshire Cat inn are all lovely, accommodating and thoughtful individuals who helped make our stay so memorable and pleasant. We felt very taken care of and the inn felt like a home away from home. The grounds are conveniently placed walking and biking distance away from exactly where we needed to be and we were able to fulfill our goals of not using our car the entire earth day weekend! The room we had was perfectly comfortable and very clean with a king bed with excellent linens in which my husband and I had some of the most restful sleeps. Breakfast options were perfect but for those with gluten sensitivities I am sure they would be able to accommodate your needs if you expressed them. Best orange juice I’ve ever had and dining outdoors in the beautiful Santa Barbara weather was a treat amongst the garden, fountain sounds, and the birds. We look forward to staying here again!!!

Relaxing Stay

The check in was quick and friendly. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that the jacuzzi tub was not working and I specifically rented that room because of the tub. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Great property. Stayed in Brammel, 2 bedroom cottage with separate outdoor entrance. Perfect for 2 to4 people, nice living area, kitchen and private outdoor patio. Excellent breakfast both days!

Perfect B&B in heart of Santa Barbara

Caroline and team were very attentive. Room was larger than came across in pictures. Very well cared for and comfortable. Definitely would recommend!
