Good stay, but a little disappointed

Overall, we enjoyed the stay. But a couple of things we found disappointing. After booking the room, the hotel contacted me by phone as they had difficulty with the credit card being used. During the conversation, I relayed to the woman who assisted me that this was being booked to celebrate our marriage. She mentioned that she would make a note of it for our stay (she volunteered this and made it sound like they would be doing something nice for us). However, there was no acknowledgment of our marriage. Now, we would normally not expect anything, but given the response that day, we were under the assumption they would. So that was disappointing. Another disappointment was that the refrigerator in the room was not keeping anything cool. They would not replace the refrigerator with one from another room and did not attempt to fix it. We were told we could use the downstairs public refrigerator (just label our items). As we had wedding cake that we would need to store, we were forced to find another arrangement which was inconvenient. They did offer their kitchen refrigerator, but our wedding reception would end long after their kitchen closed. Bummer. The staff was nice in general and it is a cute B&B. But those two issues took away from the overall experience. For most people, I think this is a very nice place. We just had a little bad luck.

Relaxing Stay

The check in was quick and friendly. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that the jacuzzi tub was not working and I specifically rented that room because of the tub. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Great property. Stayed in Brammel, 2 bedroom cottage with separate outdoor entrance. Perfect for 2 to4 people, nice living area, kitchen and private outdoor patio. Excellent breakfast both days!

Perfect B&B in heart of Santa Barbara

Caroline and team were very attentive. Room was larger than came across in pictures. Very well cared for and comfortable. Definitely would recommend!

Very Satisfied, No Complaints

My daughter and I were very pleased with the accommodations and service the staff provided. The inn made us feel warm and welcomed. We plan on going back in June. I usually like to try various places but we know what to expect at Cheshire so that’s our spot for SB visits. Thank you Caroline, Simon and those unseen staff who contributed to a our very satisfying stay.

Mobberly Cottage underperformed

Nice Bed and Breakfast overall. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Mobberly cottage. Here are the negatives… 1. The twin beds in the 2nd bedroom were hard and uncomfortable, even for our 17 year old. 2. The fireplace wouldn’t reignite after the timer shut off. 3. The water in the bathroom sink took forever to get warm. Breakfast was great, friendly staff, and good location to downtown. I would stay there again but try a different cottage.

Great Place to Stay

The Cheshire Cat Inn is the place to stay when in Santa Barbara. Easy walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. Staff was great, Breakfast was great.
