BEWARE - lots wrong with this hotel but the most important to know is there are shady men who hang out in the lobby because NO ONE works here. A guy followed me and my 2 teen daughters to the elevators and we excused ourselves after he got on, so to speak. First, it took us over 30 minutes to even check in because there was no one at the desk, no one answering the phone. Lady finally shows up, apologized for the delay, gave us 1 card. We did check in late, but there were also no towels. After trying to reach someone for towels for over an hour, she finally says she will bring them. The NEXT DAY we check out, unshowered, because we STILL NEVER GOT TOWELS. The hotel is old and been cheaply repaired. We stay in hotels all the time and this was by far the MOST UNSAFE we have ever felt. NEVER been to a hotel where there is no staff, EVER. Not even anyone cleaning. Which makes it a very good place for people to hang out in the lobby and pick someone out. NO THANKS. NOT EVER AGAIN. Worst experience ever.

Warning!

The service checking in and out was great but, they advertise breakfast and there was none offered, they only give you two towels and if we needed more, we had to run run the two we had to get fresh ones. We’re a family of 4 so needed 4. The door to the bathroom kept getting stuck every time and made a loud noise when we would open it. The knobs in the shower were not secured so the entire system would move when you would use them. The room smelled liked smoke even though we were in a non smoking room and the AC was not working properly. Thankfully it was a one night stay so we did not care to say anything.

Part of the slide lock was missing off the door. The door appeared as though it had been kicked in at some point and was not properly fitted to the frame. The room next to us had one of the workers children in it and they were constantly go in and out of the room slamming the doors and knocking very loudly to get back in this occured from the time we arrived until the early morning hours. We were unable to sleep because of it.

Good value for money ... and Cajun food nearby!

The Good: nearby interstate, clean, no bugs, no smells, refurbished decor, spacious room, decent internet, pleasant administrative help, and good value for money. The Bad: a little noisy; not the most attractive area. The Bonus: Fezzo's Cajun restaurant 300 yards from the motel has great Cajun food!

Wish there was a coffee urn in the lobby open to early risers who like to drink 2 or 3 cups of good coffee and catch the news while others speep in the quiet room until later.
