Thank you for giving me the opportunity to let yall know about my HORRIBLE experience . Hotel Contessa is all about the looks because service is VERY POOR. our first day there when arriving my card was charged the whole amount than what I had reserved my room for. I had asked the front desk didn't want that amount charged on that card and she clearly told me it wasn't going to be charged ,that she was going to use my other card that was on file... once I got to my room I checked my bank account and it was charged.. as we entered the room the room smelled like humid ..turns out the restroom fan didn't work so all the restroom was soaked with the humidity .. the next day we headed out to downtown to explore , hopping our room to be cleaned and towels be changed …once we arrived back NOTHING WAS CHANGED.. I called front desk and asked for a service for our room and they told us "service people will be up shortly to clean and change towels" …2 hours later of waiting nothing was done Receptionist told us we didn't get room service due to " us leaving the sign of 'no room service" later they told us we didn't get room service due to us "checking out" but we were booked for 3 days … at the end the hotel tried to make it better by giving us a credit for the restaurant which we did use but food was unpleasant

Clean

Have stayed at many hotels and this by far was the cleanest hotel and very well taken care of. Only complaint was the parking. Be aware that there is no parking. Parking garage is almost across the street and for 24 hrs its 30 dollars. The walk was annoying especially having to carry luggage. My husband and I had to do two trips each time upon check in and check out.

Always love to stay here, super clean and comfortable with a fun bar and the restaurant has good food. Right on riverwalk with beautiful views.

My wife and I love this hotel, it's on a quite part of the river walk but just a short walk to all the restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel was upgraded a few years ago so everything is basically new. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the meals were excellent. If you are there during these hot summer months try the Rum Punch, it's a nice fruity drink.

Best Location Best Service

Absolutely 100% amazing!!! A little pricy but you will get your money worth. I cant wait to return. The bar and lounge is great and the restaurant at the hotel is great.

An absolutely lovely location and grounds, right next to the river walk and bars and restaurants. A short walk to the Alamo, good food, friendly service, really enjoyed my stay.

Amazing place to stay

Hotel was clean . Staff was amazing and Friendly . Food was amazing . Just an all around great place right on the river walk .

Beautiful hotel on a quieter section of the Riverwalk. The rooms are spacious. Light sleepers may want to request a room away from Presa St or Market St as both have noisy HVAC units and one has a noisy night club, and management may not be accommodating if a room change is requested.
