Spacious, beautiful view, accommodating hosts, very good food, up in the hills off the tourist track in a nice neighborhood. Follow the signs for Greenwood Great House if you're driving, it's right up the road.

I love the property on site. The garden and the balcony. It was peaceful tranquil. I live the breeze on the Hill. The staff cook my breakfast and was very hospitable. The owner (Mrs. Jennifer) was the best host to have along with her staff. I don't have anything I didn't like. Everything was great. I am going back and staying their if it's not full. I love the place.

Just a short stay

The Emerald View Resort Villa was absolutely beautiful. The view from our veranda was breathtaking, the palms formed a heart framing the ocean and sky in one. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Jennifer was very prompted with our extra request for during our stay. She was also great in making trip suggestions along with directions. Breakfast was also very good with the breakfast veranda view being even more breathtaking than our room. We didn't have time to use the pool but it did look very clean and invited. We wish we had more time to spend at the Emerald with Jennifer.

Far from MJB airport, large room with balcony and a/c, but rather barebones accommodation, ie. table lamp did not work, no toilet paper dispenser, only one full size bath towel for 2 guests. Good for the price.

I had a great stay at the Emerald View. The location was a little off the beaten path but the view from the hill was beautiful. You can see the shore line for miles. The Hostess, Jennifer, was extremely accommodating to all our needs. The pool and grounds of the Villa are beautiful. The Villa is very quiet, if that's what you are looking for. There were other guest in the Villa but you wouldn't know it. Privacy was nice, again, if that is what you are looking for. That is not a "Resort" per se with sprawling grounds, but a Villa style resort which is different and intimate. No bar/lounge or restaurants on the premises. There is a supermarket at the foot of the hill where the Villa is located. All you need to spend a comfortable week or two in the Villa will be found there. You also have several restaurants on the main strip. This is a great place for a couples getaway. The Villa is also 420 friendly. Overall I give this Villa 4 Stars. MF & CR

Felt like home

If you don't mind the little need for renovations, you'll love to stay here. It felt like home. The staff are super nice, the breakfast is good, the property is private and secured, and we all had a very good night sleep! Jennifer, Chris, little Ann, and the other staffs are so helpful, humble, and kind. We would definitely stay again. Hope to see you soon!

Great for family!

We were a bit skeptical when we first arrived at Emerald View Resort Villa, because the view of the property looks slightly different than what is seen on the Villa’s website. The bedrooms were very spacious, but the cleanliness of them could be better, particularly the bathrooms. The owner, Jennifer and her staffs were very welcoming. I think this made our stay at the Villa feel comfortable. Overall, the staffs were very nice and respectful. The food was also great!

Will never go back.

Not at all what we expected. This is not a three star hotel, but a bungalow that has been converted into a motel, run by the lady of the house, her two daughters and two employees. Maintenance severely needed, it is not close to ANYTHING, not even the main street or the center of the city. It is situated in a village on the outskirts of Montego bay. The road leading to the motel which is at the top of a hill is not paved and gets very dark at night. Even going to a decent restaurant involves walking to the bottom of the hill and hailing a cab to take you to the city, which adds to the expense. The sheets were not clean, the bathroom is very basic and the knob was broken, so it could not be locked or even closed from the inside, hot water was not always available, the shower head was broken, there was no water pressure, outlets were not working, the crockery was not clean, there was no phone in the room, no easy way to hire a cab, unless the husband of the lady was available to drive you at a premium! As if this was not all, they charge to make any calls to a cel phone, which can only be made from the front office. If the lady of the house is out shopping or not around, one has to wait to get her permission before calls can be made.
