Great place!

It was amazing, loved the room and the staff was friendly and fun, great place to stay, close to the Vivant Event Center and has under ground parking :)

Very clean

The hotel is very clean. Sheets, towels, shower curtains and furniture were all fresh and new looking. Hotel is right around the corner from a homeless shelter where many sketchy people were lingering. We didn’t feel comfortable walking anywhere at night. The biggest drawbacks were that they don’t have an indoor pool or a bar.

This a new beautiful hotel, but it's right by Pioneer Park and a number of homeless shelters. There are some really crazy people on the street, so the hotel keeps its front door locked--during the day.

Warning Homewood Suites Hilton SLC Downtown !

Don’t waste your time with this hotel….Try another Homewood Suites location or other hotel in Salt Lake City. I booked a 10 nigths stay 9 months ago via Expedia / Hotel.com with confirmation of 1King 2Queen - 2 bedrooms for our family trip. On check in date at desk or prior to check in….we were not told that our reservation was downgraded to single King room with pullout sofa! After checked in, I was shock and then told by their staff / management that room type is not guarantee unless booked through Hilton. I GET THAT BUT at least notify us ahead of time so we can plan elsewhere instead of uncomfortable sofa bed! TO MAKE THE MATTER WORST….WE WERE CHARGED THE SAME RATE FOR A SINGLE ROOM AS ON MY CONFIRMED RESERVATION FOR 2BEDROOM SUITE! HOW IS THAT FAIR and OVERCHARGED! Basically...we were bumped, this hotel overbooked and changed our reservation to accommodate other guest booked at higher rates. When we requested another adjoining room or a room with two queen beds….they said nothing they can do and unable to adjust our rates because they sold out and current rates higher ! What ever happen to running a honest business ?...I should be charge for a single King room rate was when I booked months ago. Manager Laine and Staff Max…lack of experience in hotel management and poor hospitality in this business! Take my words….they run a bad business here, go elsewhere for a stress-free vacation with no surprises !

Very pleased with the condition of the room. Felt very much at home while away from home. Cool little kitchenette in case you were looking to prepare some food yourself. Very well setup for a multiple day getaway. Highly recommend

Quality & Value

Excellent condition, pleasing breakfast, convenient location and fair value. Will return next time I’m in SLC.
