Great hotel with one caveat

We had only a short stay. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient and upgraded us to a room with a beautiful sunrise view, which we appreciated. My only warning would be that the bathroom has a peculiar glass that makes an occupant visible to anyone standing outside the door. Very strange. But otherwise, a beautiful hotel in a convenient location attached to the Santa Apolonia train station.

Unsafe stay

I did not feel safe at the hotel. There is no security and the public can reach all points of the hotel besides the gym meaning I had safety issues within the hotel hallways. This is not a five star hotel, the dining was below standard and a last resort. Most services advertised were not offered. My check in was three hours late despite being booked a day in advance. This impaired a video conference call. The hotel front desk manager also threatened me regarding payment when I extended my trip despite their inability to take Discover, allow online booking through Hotels.com or their own website, or wait for stock markets in the US to open for trading/transfer. Finally they offered me an alternative after threatening me with the police. Items were also stolen from my room, I can only assume by staff but I cannot be sure as the hotel has minimal security. The hotel is in a large train station so there is a lot of noise. Ubers and taxis are not convenient to the front entrance of the hotel and it was common for only one receptionist to be manning the desk at a time. As it is inside a train station, you have people wandering past the hotel, I generally felt unsafe as a female leaving the hotel alone and was followed inside by a stranger. This person passed reception twice and knocked on the door of my hotel room both instances. The rooms are fine, but maid service needed multiple reminders to replace towels, restock mini bar, and refill coffee.

Inconvenient and noisy

Five hour delay for check-in Noisy rooms due to hotel being housed in a train station. My friends also used Hotels.com to book their stay. One of us was unable to use Wi-Fi because we did not have a room assigned because the hotel was late checking us in. We were not able to access our room until 8pm, we arrived at 2pm. Check-in was at 3pm. A complimentary beverage was offered for this trouble (tea). The hotel rooms have glass walls in front of the toilet and shower offering no privacy for couples traveling.

Ontzet fijn verblijf

Het is een heerlijk hotel. De ligging is helemaal prima ondanks er staat dat het 1 km buiten het centrum is. Er zijn ook al bezienswaardigheden dichterbij dus dat is geen probleem. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en er zijn heerlijke bedden. Kamers sfeervol en heel netjes en schoon

Schönes Hotel am Hafen mit ÖV-Anschluss

Das Hotel liegt direkt am neuen Cruise-Terminal von Lissabon und ist im Gebäude des Bahnhofs untergebracht. Das Gebäude und Zimmer sind sehr schön renoviert. Die Einrichtung setzt perfekt moderne und historische Elemente in Szene. Das Hotel liegt zwar am Rande des Altstadtviertels Alfama ist aber durch den ÖV (Bus, Metro) perfekt erschlossen.

Modernt hotell i järnvägsmiljö

Mycket bra, fin miljö med en underbar restaurang med järnvägstema. Gångavstånd till nya kryssningsterminalen i Lissabon.
