Lovely location, hotel-come-cultural resort. Lobby/reception good, Room comfortable and odd. Two doors , one behind each other? No idea why? Evening meal, menu small but good. Breakfast, OK Hot food not to my taste.

I stayed only one night here but it was very pleasant.

The location is very good. Very near Helsinki and metro. The Hanasaari islet is very beatiful in the autum and the see is there so present. The architecture of the hotel is interesting.

Excellent hotel in a lovely setting with easy access

My first time to Finland and my first impressions were 10/10. Furthermore the rest of our stay at Hotel Hanasaari provided excellent location, scenery, service comfort and accommodation that made us fall in love with Finland immediately. The reviews on this hotel speak for itself. It truly is an amazing place. We loved the nature walks, the sauna experience, the sculptures and art pieces around and in the environment add to the whole experience. The buffet breakfast that makes the best scrambled eggs that melt in your mouth. After staying at a few hotels across Finland from Helsinki to Tampere and Lapland, this hotel had the best breakfast buffet hands down. The staff were accommodating and friendly and helpful. Thank you Hotel Hanasaari for the amazing time we had. We would definitely return.

beautiful location, just 15 mins walk to the metro and 10 mins from there to downtown Helsinki. Peaceful and quiet, with great walking trails.

Had such a great weekend there for a friend's wedding. The location is fab, only 10 mins drive from the city centre but because it's right next to the sea and in the woods, it was very quiet and peaceful. The room was very clean and nice, and the view from the window is just amazing. Would definitely come back again!

This is one of the BEST hotels where we have ever stayed. It is a resort hotel on a small island. First, the scenery is beautiful. You can see birch trees, garden with sculptures, and the ocean from your room. We enjoyed a small walk before breakfast every morning. The rooms are the European size and not very large, but clean, well-decorated, and very comfortable. The breakfast is very nice as well. We enjoyed Finnish breads, fresh juices, eggs, salmon, sausages, etc. at tables outside. The hotel staff members are EXTREMELY helpful as well. They even prepared breakfast for us on the last day at 3:30am!! The hotel is about 10 minute walk (1km, 0.6 mile) from Koivusaari Metro Station. The Metro runs every 10 minutes (or shorter) to and from downtown Helsinki. Downtown is 4 or 5 stations from Koivusaari, and takes only 10 minutes or so. We are very glad that we chose this hotel since it is convenient enough in terms of transportation, and the surroundings are spectacular. They also have a sauna, and you can dive into the ocean if you choose to do so. Well, we didn't, but it is the Finnish style to enjoy sauna. There are no stores or restaurants nearby. However, the hotel has a nice restaurant and a bar. (Check the availability since they may be closed for an event.) When we come back to Finland, we will most definitely stay at this hotel again.
