Nice hotel/pool/service needs improvement

The outside & lobby is beautiful. So beautiful that we expected for the poolside rooms to be the same. Not what we expected. Rooms are outdated. Mold was found on the ceiling in the shower & chipped paint on the walls. Room was not cleaned properly as dust settle on the rims of the wall near the floor. The convenience of the pool was great because it was right outside of the room but the property could put more care into the rooms. The door was so hard to open i had to always push it open with my shoulder. For the price of the stay which was well over $2,000 it was not worth the price. Room service was horrible. Thet come super early when we are sleeping & when we call same day for service they never come. We had to call several times for service & when they come thet don't service the entire room. For example they may fix the bed but not throw out the trash. Or they will partially throw out the trash and not replace the complementary items in the room. Something was always missing & this is frustrating when you expect everything to be done properly. Plus this trip was my honeymoon so we shouldn't have to always be behind the staff. At times we had to catch the housekeeping outside to ask for service. Then when we finally complained all we were told was we are sorry we put your room # in our rotation but if they don't come then there i not much we can do. Then finish off by shrugging their shoulders. When we finally spoke to the supervisor same thing. Overall do better.

Roach hotel

The most horrible experience ever. This hotel is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in when visiting San Juan. There were roaches everywhere, the shower knob fell off as soon as I turned the shower on and damn near fractured my toe. Linen was dingy and beds were so uncomfortable.

The staff are all great, pool area, lobby, restaurants are all very nice. My only complaint is the rooms could use some renovation and the showers water temperature is freezing. Also, I think the people who clean should knock in case you forget to put the sign that says enter because I hadn’t even realized that was an option so I didn’t put the sign out and they didn’t come to clean or replace toilet paper and towels for a few days.

Not good at all for $235.00a night

Arrived late to the hotel with my family and the room didn’t have enough pillows, sink light switch was broken, shower down faucet was broken, the door frame was a rusty, bathroom door was al stained and bathtub floor was all stained too. Kids were tired to get a different room at 10pm. So I talked to hotel supervisor showed him some pictures of the room and got an ok/sorry. I was hoping for a discount for the poor room condition but supervisor wasn’t hearing it..

Great hotel

The entire staff was amazing. From the moment you park your car until the time you leave. What a gem of a hotel. My new favorite spot to stay.

Verdanza Hotel

We stay in Verdanza every year for our wedding anniversary and we love it. Excellent location, near the beach, restaurants and bars. I made our reservation through Hotel.com and free parking was included in the deal. We always stay in the rooms with pool view which are located in a separate building and you have to walk a little bit, and there is not an elevator in that area but those are our favorite rooms because they have a really nice balcony, you get a lot of privacy and bathroom and room have a good size. The room was nice and clean, and they allowed us to have a late checkout. As always they were welcoming, we requested a microwave and coffee machine and they took care of that right away. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel and the food and service were excellent. We had Chicken Parmesan and the Churrasco Dumplings as appetizer which I highly recommend. The pool is beautiful and now the coffee shop at the lobby closes at 9 pm instead of 5 pm just in case you want to have a late afternoon coffee brake. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and pleasant, we had a relaxing time. I will highly recommended! PS. I do miss the previous furniture they had in the lobby, because the chairs and sofa they have now are not very comfortable and if they could add a few more pillows in the rooms will be great.
