Food poisioning with a touch of breach of privacy

Got food poisoning. Had booked for two nights the receptionist said it was for 3, so stayed for three then wanted payment for the extra night? I explained that the mistake was there's. Then had numerous emails asking for extra payment. Then the receptionist messaged me on my moblie a clear breach of my privacy say she was now fired because of me? Not on!

Don't get fooled by the views

Stinky dirty lagoon water runs on the beach, rooms have no amenities, rooms not clean and have smokers smell, not maintained, not comfortable sleep, they are far from any fun activity to do in cape town so you need car to get around, ridiculous restaurant and breakfast pricing for the quality received, Beautiful views but really not worth the price, this is not a place for holiday makers or couples, there is no thought for their guests comfort taken into account. Not great at all

Dropping standards

The Hotel is really in a picturesque location BUT it seems that that the standards are dropping. There are a few good employees that make you feel welcome but the rest couldn't give a damn. I waited 30 minutes at the BAR/Lounge area after ordering a Coke, Milo and 2 scoops of ice cream, its never arrived so I left. I left a message at reception for the hotel manager to engage with me BUT this as well did not materialize. The room door scrapes against the dry wall when opening, this makes a noise that's uncomfortable every time the door opens and closes. The toilet has not been installed level. The shower clogs up and you literally stand in ankle deep 'dirty' water. All the above were addressed with people on the ground but nothing was done OR they couldn't do anything. This was my second visit but definitely my last to this hotel.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. The location is great! The hotel has a great view of table mountain. The restaurant staff gave us the incorrect breakfast order almost daily. The room had roaches too. I would not stay here again.
