We had a great view from our room! If the weather was better, we would have loved to checkout the rooftop terrace. Very friendly staff!

Breakfast wasn’t good at all. The cheese was melted to the tray for example. It’s a hard walk up hill to do anything other then the boat cruise options. View was ok but restricted.

Good find in Sorrento

My daughter and I went to Sorrento for a few days. We really liked this hotel as it was close to the ferry to and from Naples so location was good for us. We didn’t have to take our bags up the hill and we were away from the crowds but could walk everywhere as well. Hotel has a very nice breakfast. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also good. If you get dinner as part of your package be aware you cannot order from the menu. Staff very nice and friendly. We paid extra for sea view which was well worth it. Hotel also has a big sun deck with lounge chairs accessible from fourth floor.

I liked the hotel being close to the main harbour.ideal for going on day trips.rooms were small and a really small bathroom breakfast was ok

It was clean, breakfast was great and internet very good ,easy to get to the boat for any trip to the islands or Amalfi , To get to the hotel from train satiation it’s easy to take the bus Linea B , takes you in front of the hotel at the marina Piccola . Staff was nice and friendly . The pictures of the property were not deceiving !

Bargain room in good location

I think a 7/10 is probably an appropriate review. It’s a good bargain place at a great location. It’s right on the pier. It is extremely difficult to locate if you don’t know your way around Sorrento. The comp breakfast was nice. The beds and sheets were rough. The bed itself was two twins combined into a double . Overall it was an okay hotel but you pay for what you get. The price and location were the main highlights.

Fantastico!

My friend and I stayed at Il Faro four nights. The location is great. Right on the Marina Piccola which was ideal for us since we wanted to ferry around Bay of Naples and rent a boat. The parking garage is in the middle of town but they will bring and take your car when you need it. The manager and staff were all amazingly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is free. To get to the main piazza or center of town you walk about 100 yrds and take an elevator for a Euro or simply take a taxi right in front of the hotel. There is a restaurant and a rooftop terrace. There is also a boat rental outfit about 50 yard away where we rented a boat with skipper for 300 Euro from 10am-6pm. It took us to the Blue Grotto, Amalfi, and Positano. He will take you wherever you want. the ferries to Naples, Positano and Capri are right outside. The best restaurant in town is right above the marina. Take elevator or taxi. You can walk down 3 flights of stairs to hotel at night. Super safe and going down the stairs is not so bad. Or take elevator. Nearby is Marina Grande where there are more restaurants. The service and friendliness was top notch. Would definitely recommend and stay again at Il Faro.
