Overall very nice property. Very friendly staff and very clean. I stayed in the adults only section and had a nice comfy king bed. Bonus were the monkeys that came to visit in the morning !

Everything and more that I expected great place and safe

Beautiful place. It’s my 3th time in the same hotel .

Room was nice and clean. Staff was amazing. They will restock the fridge every time. They had a huge jug of water in the room. Beds were comfortable. The resort was huge. BUT...It took forever to check in. They tried to sell us a TimeShare. We only want to relax and enjoy out trip. Not sit and listen for hours. Food was cold, no taste. Just horrible. Beer, liquor and even the cokes had a weird taste to it. Not sure if it was a knock off brand or what but I just couldn’t enjoy it. I was afraid of getting poisoned. Dinner reservations was a must and it was hard to get in. Had to wait just in case someone didn’t make it to their reservation. Wished they would’ve given a list of the daily activities at the hotel. They only told us about the shows. I didn’t know they had yoga on the beach, or other games.

I want to give my brutally honest review about this resort because it is very important for other guests to be aware of it, as soon as you get to the reception they will charge you a tax for keeping the beach clean, I thought that was unacceptable because I paid for a reservation and I spect everything to be very nice including the beach, the lady at the reception couldn't explain why I have to pay for that type of charge. The thing that upset me the most was all the animal poop around the hallways of the room area, they have so many racoon like animals called coati and they are not afraid of humans, I felt very unsafe because they will come to you and try to take your food, many guests live the food outside the door and it's very uncomfortable watching the wildlife eating the leftovers in the hallways, I felt unsafe in the hotel and I was afraid even to open the balcony door, not every staff was friendly and to be honest I think is more a management responsibility to keep the hotel in top quality and service, this was my third time in the Sandos but sadly my last, I want to give a huge thank you for the people at the Asiana restaurant, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed at the Sandos the last week of October 2020. If you as a guest are afraid of getting too close to comfort with the local wildlife I would not recommend this place for you.

The resort was gorgeous. Lush landscaping, animals everywhere, beautiful beach access. Our room was decent and comfortable, no complaints at all. The service was fantastic. From the front desk staff at check-in, to the bartenders at the pool, and even the diving center staff. Everyone was wonderful and very friendly. The only qualm of the trip was the food and alcohol. Drinks were tasty and free flowing, but the alcohol they use is watered down significantly. Sticking to beer, wine or champagne ended up being my co-to, as the tequila and rum drinks didn’t pack much punch. Food was decent and portions were ok, but not the best tasting. I’d give the food a 6/10 at most of the restaurants and buffet. Other than that we had a wonderful stay!

The resort is huge you really get your money’s worth.

The property is beautiful. Huge area and difficult to navigate. Had to make an appointment for every single thing you did including the gym and meals. The last thing I wanted on vacation was to be stuck to a schedule every day. Half the stuff is closed.
