building looks a little tired from outside and similar first impressions upon arrival at the reception. Our room was internal so view was v disappointing (outdoor smoking area). That said, rooms very nicely decorated and furnished. Live music m in the bar area was a treat and the food was really pleasant also. (Duck and fish and chips.) We pre booked swimming and because of the restricted COVID access, we had the place to ourselves (fam of 4) which was really good. In all I would recommend and we will probably come back, but I would request a outward facing room for sure. Very comfortable beds, so good value in my opinion.

Disappointing. The pictures of the hotel on your site was very misleading, the hotel needs a proper refurb. Carpets with holes in, dirty curtains, decor very dated.

Be careful which room you book as if you are in a standard room you get treated like a second class citizen. Also inconsistent service between receptionists each time.

Staff are always brilliant and the new rooms are really nice, the old rooms are to but the modern ones make the stay far more comfortable, decent gym and pool Bar does decent food to

Comfortable but food shocking! Fine dining....certainly was not. Very tough and poor quality rib eye steak, sent pavlova back....Rock hard shop bought meringue, half a strawberry and 3 blueberries , not worththe £8 they wanted me to pay for it. Irish coffee very bitter and burnt. Service awful in bar area and restaurant. Comfortable and nice room which was clean. Live singer in bar which was nice.

Lovely stay with the family. The room had recently been renovated and was very clean. The breakfast was very nice and all the staff were very helpful

Nice hotel, lovely rooms looked like they had recently been renovated, had a drink at the bar and sat in the lounge which i felt lacked atmosphere and was too small for the number og guests staying there, food good, pool facilities good, staff in reception very nice overall good hotel
