The location was amazing! Staff were frustrating and could have made a better attempt to be friendly.

I was told at check in that a $50 incidental fee would be charged and refunded at the end of my stay. They actually took the entire cost of the stay off my card a second time. They are aware of the problem and were kind about explaining

Beautiful setting in Spearfish Canyon. Grand fireplace with ample guest seating. Latchstring Inn dining across the road. Everything was delightful.

WiFi was good. There was little to no cell phone reception so we loved the off the grid feeling. Easy trail access that our 2 pre teens enjoyed hiking. Staff was very helpful with directions and any questions we had about the area. 2 days was not enough time here!

The lodge is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are friendly and so helpful! The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and the Great Room is a perfect place to sip a drink by the fire. I will definitely be back many times and suggest it to my friends.

Although this is a very beautiful place, and we enjoyed wonderful hiking in the Spearfish valley, we were very concerned about the lack of Covid precautions taken at the hotel. There was a very large wedding reception going on in the lobby the night we were there, and no one was wearing masks. There were elderly people in the crowd, even someone in a wheelchair. This frightened us, so I would suggest not going to this hotel until the Covid pandemic is well past.

Incredible property, especially in the fall weather. Wonderful front desk staff, felt so comfortable bringing in my pet! Crackling fire in the lobby and exceptionally clean room. Stay here!!!

We loved the laid-back atmosphere rocking on the porch as well as making new friends in the grand lodge at night with a roaring fire in the fireplace. Rooms were rustic but nice and staff was awesomely helpful and friendly. This fine place sits in one of the most beautiful canyons in America. Very good food available right across the road from early until late. Rentals were available of mountain bikes, UTV's, and Slingshots. We want to return!

beautiful scenery...rooms clean. restraunt great food. atv rental on property. hot tub nice..would definately reccomend!

This is a perfect getaway spot! Family-friendly, customer service is fantastic.
