Phenomenal Stay at the Hilton!

We stayed four nights in June 2022 in a garden bungalow. Our stay was so memorable. It’s a very safe area, and you can snorkel around the bungalows - we saw rays, beautiful fish and even an eel!! At night black tip reef sharks swim around the tiki bar and that was a highlight for us! They only seemed to come out at night. You can set up excursions and car rentals right at the property and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time!! We’d highly recommend shark/ray snorkeling, food tour, jet skiing and our favorite, the ATV tour! There’s also family owned restaurants within walking distance of the Hilton. When you arrive from the ferry dock (super easy to get on a ferry, they are big boats), taxis are waiting. To get back to the ferry dock, you’ll need to pre-arrange a taxi to pick you up. The Hilton did all of that for us! We also stayed in Bora Bora and there were so many aspects of this hotel on Moorea that we liked more!!

Outstanding Resort

We will always stay at the intercontinental for our future trips to Tahiti. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the people are amazing! The concierges are so helpful. Day is a person that we will always remember!

Do not stay here

Rooms were expensive, and outdated. AC barely worked. I was put in a room facing the service entrance and back road with vendor trucks in and out. far far walk to everything. Food was so terrible. Beyond bad. Nachos were Doritos with a blanket of cheese. And a side of salsa from a jar. Filet was sliced and inedible.

Convenient and nice hotel as gateway to Fr. Poly

This is a great hotel to start your stay in FP. I had read all the reviews so my expectations were tempered. We spent 2 nights and just one day there. The pick up from the airport was smooth and they gave us a pretty lei which was fun! The hotel buffet dinner was good, breakfast too. We went jet skiing with vendor right in front of the hotel (can book from concierge in advance or on site directly) and saw a lot. Our sunset private boat cruise was canceled due to a mechanical issue, but the concierge found another boat for us from the marina which is a 3 minute drive ($15 ea way). (Tip, buy wine at duty-free when you land to drink on your patio/boat!) We ate dinner after boat ride at the Italian place in the marina Le Casa Bianca which was fine food and fun, mostly people that live on boats. Overall this isn't the best hotel in the world but we had fun. The overwater villa was quite lovely, seemed recently renovated with comfortable pillows and soft towels. The only complaint is that we booked ocean view premium room for our kids (teens) and they got a ground floor room. The front desk said it was considered ocean view because there aren't trees blocking the view. We didn't make a big deal but still... These are the rooms in the main building that have been renovated, fyi. We left at 5:30am and they made a nice breakfast box for us. We stayed at top 5* hotels on other islands and this hotel might have been a letdown if we ended there, but it was a very nice start to our trip.

A one night stay

The property was a bit dated and service at the resturaunt was sub-par. We stayed in one of the overwater bungalows which was a nice feature but again not entirely up to what I would consider the best standards.

No one showed me around the property. My TV had no sound. I waited in the lounge for a drink for over 30 minutes. I ordered two different things and they were out of both of them. I was stuck eating chicken wings and french fries nothing healthy

Loved the overwater bungalow! Unfortunately, it rained most of that day but that’s Tahiti! Regular room was also nice! Very clean hotel! Great service! Cost of drinks and food is very expensive so ask before you order or there is a grocery store to the right with a 20 minute walk with surrounding shops to let you save money for food and alcohol and take in local culture!!!
