Very Pricey Motel 6 Wanna Be

Expensive, worn out, hard to find, so why not save money and go to a real Motel 6? No table lamps, so you have to use ceiling lights only. Furnishings worn, chipped paint, stains and burn holes in carpet, microwave you will never use instead of a coffee maker. TV way too small for the room size, looks very alone on a bare wall. Bring binoculars so you can see. Beds uncomfortable, ice machine not working. Homeless people hanging around the parking lot. Cold decaf coffee from yesterday still in the pot at breakfast. Only one morning pot of coffee, no refills, so be early and fast or your out of luck. Staff uncaring and indifferent toward guests, seldom seen at the front counter to greet customers. 3rd Floor under construction so there is a heavy paint smell that choaks.

Nice clean hotel Front desk allowed us to check in an hour early since we drove all night and were exhausted. Would stay again if in the area

Skip this one

Constant cigarette smoke smell even in non smoking room. Room was not clean. Desk clerk was extremely rude. Housekeeping tried to enter the room without knocking.

Overall the stay was good. My only complaint is that other people need to be courteous when they take the stairs and not let the door slam.

The staff was friendly and helpful, Management took care of issues immediately when discrepancies were brought to attention. There were however screeching fire alarms both nights of the stay in the middle of the night. Whether there are electrical issues or the fire alarm is connected to the security door alarm, was not explained but it made for sleepless nights when it was apparent we were suppose to ignore them - which I am not programmed to do. I would recommend asking for a room on the front side of the inn as the back side faces the back of a fast food business. 7am trash pickup on a Saturday after a 4am fire alarm also contributed to lack of sleep (Sunday was okay). While the Inn has no control over rubbish pickup, they do need to reconcile the alarm issue.

I’ve always heard great reviews about Micortels. However, our room was stale, sticky and not properly ventilated. The window had mold growing inside, which seemed to have come from the immense amount of condensation on the window. We were thankful to only stay one night. We are scheduled to stay in the area for 7 days soon and chose a different facility due to being concerned for our health from mold exposure.
