We had a very modern room which suited us very well. It was kept immaculate by the friendly lady who serviced it. The hotel is an interesting mix of old and new, the indoor pool was lovely and warm and the reclining area beside it was very pleasant. Breakfast Buffet had a good range of items to choose from. Reception Staff were pleasant but seemed a little unsure at times and we felt that perhaps more training was needed to really meet a 4 star rating. The hotel is in an ideal location with everything just a short stroll away. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful well maintained old building set within a short walk of Riva town centre and the Lake. Very very clean, wonderful and friendly staff, excellent outdoor and indoor pool/spa facilities available on site. Been to this hotel for 5 years in a row and each year I can see marked improvements in the facilities. Highly recommended hotel in a wonderful location.

Classical hotel. Beautiful buildings and pool. Good breakfast too.

The hotel is in a good location and the amenities are excellent, including the pool, spa and bar area. Having booked a standard double room, we were allocated a room overlooking the pool / car park which was good. The room had electric blinds which we closed on the first night, as there are no blackout curtains. The problem came the next morning, as the blinds did not open, and we spent Saturday and Sunday in a room with predominantly no window, even though the problem was reported immediately. We were eventually moved to another room, which turned out to be a small single room which was far from ideal for two people. We were informed that the hotel did not have a maintenance engineer at the weekend, albeit on the Saturday morning informed the problem would be fixed that day. Having booked a three night break at the hotel, the issue of no natural light, multiple visits to reception and having to move to a single room spoilt our holiday and let down the hotel.

Love this Hotel. This was our 4th stay at the Hotel in as many years. Could not complain in any way about this Hotel, its staff, facilities and location. It is perfectly placed less than five minutes meander from the old town of Riva and from the Lake itself. We stayed in one of the newly revamped attic rooms, which had all the mod cons. Excellent new modern decor, air conditioning and mini fridge. The room, as was the rest of the Hotel, was spotlessly clean. The super friendly staff were as welcoming as ever and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast choices also seem to have been revamped, with a better choice of hot food, such as freshly made omelettes and crepes. They also offer a wide range of continental breakfast items, including gluten free alternatives, fresh coffees and teas. This Hotel is not resting on its laurels! Rather, it is clear that they have taken steps to update its facilities and make the overall experience better than before. Cannot fault this Hotel in any way whatsoever. The only downside was that we had only booked for one week. We will definitely be returning to Grand Hotel Liberty and beautiful Riva next year. Very well done Grand Hotel Liberty!!!

Good hotel, service and breakfast was good. Unfortunately we had a attic room so no window low enough to see out. Overall nice hotel and I would stay again. Free parking and close to town.

The Grand Hotel Liberty looks very grand from the outside - a beautiful building, pool and gardens. On the inside the hotel is a mixed bag - dated reception and lounge areas, but highly contemporary bedrooms. The hotel needs to identify its style and stick with it. However we had one very comfortable night there and a fabulous breakfast.
