Good hotel, close to the city center! Very nice to go with friends

I wish I could give this hotel a glowing review, but for me it really missed the mark. The first thing was that as a tourist, I was very far from the central touristed area. Way up a hill away from the main plaza. At 11,000 feet, unless you have just finished or are training for the Inca Trail the climb back to the hotel would be arduous. The view was fine, but hardly worth the walk in my opinion. The first thing that I saw in the lobby was a gleaming Espresso machine. The second thing I saw was a sign that a cup of it would cost me about $1.50. Same with the room, two large bottles of water, each with a 5 Sol sign on them. Come on! You are charging me over a $100 USD a night and want to charge me for a bottle of water I can get on the street for less than a dollar? Check in was smooth and efficient. My room was 415.This hotel was nothing but stairs. Stairs up to the room. Stairs down to the lobby. More stairs down to the restaurant. The room was small and efficient. Kind of like a college dorm room. Bed, table squished into one corner, TV on the wall that could be pulled out to face the bed. Oddly shaped room, few right angles. He bed was comfortable and I didn’t notice a lot of noise from the other guests. The one window in the room looked out onto the landing for that floor. Really! If you had the shades open you were on display.

We stayed at Casa Andina San Blas three days before a 5-day trek and one night after. The rooms are nice and spacious. The last night we got upgrated to a suite, which was apprechiated after a 5-day trek. The guys in the reception were always friendly and helpful. The hotel is also close to main attractions in the old town. The only negative experience was trying to get in contact with the hotel to book transport from the airport, this was difficult and I never got a reply. This Even when I replied to an e-Mail I got from the hotel 48 hours before our scheduled stay. There were no problem getting a taxi at the airport, but getting in contact with the hotel should be easier. Would still recommend staying at this hotel!

It was a relatively big hotel with decent space. The room was spacious and clean enough not to feel uncomfortable. The location is a bit far from the central area, about 10-15 min walk, with quite a hill in the middle of the way. It was overall satisfactory.

Fiquei no Casa Andina Cusco San Blas antes e depois de ir a Machu Pichu. O primeiro quarto era pequeno, mas confortável, com um excelente chuveiro. O segundo quarto era grande, mas com chuveiro ruim, porque a temperatura da água oscilava. Mas de modo geral a estadia foi muito boa. A atenção do pessoal do hotel merece destaque. O hotel fica próximo da Plaza de Armas, embora tenha uma subidinha que no ar rarefeito de Cusco exige um esforço moderado.

L'hôtel est très bien situé dans l'agréable quartier San Blas. L'accès se fait malheureusement par une rue pentue et très étroite où les piétons doivent se plaquer contre les murs pour ne pas se faire écraser par les nombreuses voitures, ce qui est un problème lorsque l'on croise d'autres piétons. L'hôtel est bien rénové, et les chambres sont propres et la literie confortable. Les douches/baignoires ont un agencement pas toujours optimum. L'isolation phonique est limitée à cause d'un important jour sous portes, ce qui fait que les nombreux passages des autres occupants et du personnel causent des nuisances sonores. Certains vieux disjoncteurs électriques de chambre émettent un ronron continu désagréable, même avec des bouchons d'oreilles. Le petit déjeuner, servi entre 5h et 10h, est un buffet correct avec un peu de tout, mais tous les jours le même. Il y manque des produits moins industrialisés et de meilleure qualité gustative. Il manque à l'hôtel une pointe de gaité et de couleur, qui pourrait par exemple être apportée à moindre frais par quelques fleurs disposées dans les parties communes. Le wifi, dans sa version gratuite, n'est pas super rapide, mais suffit pour lire ses emails et surfer. Il lui arrive cependant de tomber en panne plusieurs heures d'affilée. Les cartes d'accès aux chambres ont une sérieuse tendance à perdre leur programmation, il faut donc retourner à l'accueil pour les reprogrammer.
