What a truly special place. We spent six nights at the Grifo earlier in the summer, and wouldn't hesitate to come back again and again. We've also recommended it to our friends and family! The hotel is the perfect size - not too big - and a fantastic team of staff remember you by name. Ischia is blessed with beautiful weather for the most part, but even when we experienced one stormy day during our stay, we felt we could relax in the hotel all day without needing to leave, alternating between the swimming pool and the luxurious on-site spa. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, and we can't wait to come back.

A very relaxing vacation. The Grifo Hotel has a great homely feel to it. Peaceful, relaxed and most enjoyable. The staff are genuinely lovely and very helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere with a fabulous restaurant and great food both for breakfast and evening meals. Very comfortable with great outdoor swimming pool and indoor spa facilities. There is also a roof terrace but at the summer temperatures maybe too hot for some. The location is close to the Ischia port but far enough away so that you are not able to hear any traffic noise. The hotel is situated up a huge hill which is tough to walk up or down, but they have a solution for that in the form of a free shuttle service. There is a very good public bus service around the island which means there is no need to rent a car but there are plenty of opportunities to rent scooters or cars if you need. Reception can help with that too. In summary, we had the best holiday at the Grifo Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone who appreciates the hard work and effort the team put into to making you welcome and comfortable. Perfect in every way.

An extremely well-run hotel in a good location on Ischia. We were impressed by every experience we had in our two-night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The service is efficient but not cold. The restaurant is excellent. I would say our room was on the “basic” side but it was very clean and the bed quite comfortable.

Fantastic service from everyone involved in the hotel! There is a feeling you are being looked after by family. Rooms and hotel are spotlessly clean.

Good views, clean, friendly, accommodating and capable staff. Great restaurant on the premise with outstanding service and good food. Not in the center of things so one must walk a bit to get to places of interest or use shuttle service or public transportation.

The pool in the spa need to be hotter. Ayurveda massage needs to have the hot out drops with different oils on your forehead. This was not a true Ayurveda massage.

We enjoyed everything about the Grifo Hotel but the staff were absolutely outstanding. They were always ready to assist with whatever the issue and extremely helpful with restaurants and activities (which they recommend and/or which to avoid and why). The property is maintained meticulously and it's evident from the moment you step out of your car. Highly recommend this establishment.

We liked the friendliness atmosphere and very clean. Property is not close to the centre and you require to take their shuttle service to get around.

Clean hotel and friendly staff. The Spa and the pool is excellent. The pool bar is a bit bla as our wine was room temperature. We were apparently "upgraded" from a deluxe room to a classic room. The rooms are a bit odd with tiles on the floor so it feels a bit outdated. It was also very noisy as you can hear everyone walking past your room. The local area is beautiful though as the hotel has free shuttle to the port and back which was very useful.
