Highly Recommend!

I’m so happy we chose Hotel Arco Iris! Breakfast was included and they have three options- eggs, pancakes or fruit bowl. We tried and loved all 3 options! The location is perfect because it’s slightly removed from the noisy traffic of town yet everywhere is close enough to walk to. Walking at night is safe as well! The staff at the hotel were so sweet and friendly! The pool is clean and the perfect temperature! Just know, if you’re looking for a cocktail during the day, no one is on staff to make a drink until the restaurant opens at night. We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was cute and very clean. The AC and fan worked great! It needs a little decor updating in the bedroom but nothing crazy. The bathroom is nice and the shower is very spacious! We stayed in room #2 and the water pressure for the shower was pretty weak. As a warning, you cannot flush toilet paper, you have to throw it out in a garbage bin which does have a lid. The hotel also has a restaurant at night which is a lovely hidden gem and the food is delicious! Nothing to do with the hotel but… 1. Just know that Tamarindo is very touristy and people will try to sell you things on the beach (whistles, cigars, jewelry, coconut water, etc) nonstop! Also, you can’t leave anything on the beach so it’s a bit of a bummer if you want to go in the water at the same time as the person you’re with 2. great location

The hotel is located in a great location, near to beach and restaurants/shops. The rooms are nice, but small, and our AC didn't work very well keeping the room cool until the evening. They have a septic tank for their plumbing, so that wasn't as comfortable as at a nicer hotel. We also had some bugs in the evening in our room. They had a cute restaurant and pool area. The free breakfast was very limited. One day you could get either a fruit bowl with granola with dipping sauces or a traditional breakfast. Another day that we ate there, they added pancakes with fruit as an option.

A sweet little quiet spot with great staff. Steve, Henry and Juan were just so nice and accommodating. The pool was a great reprieve from the beach and you can walk every. The breakfast was yummy as well. This is a no frills no attitude kinda place that you love just to hang out Also , its very quiet in the morning I did not eat there but the food looked amazing

Me and my partner had a wonderful time at the Acro Iris Hotel in Tamarindo. The location was perfect, just a short walk into town (for groceries, bars and restaurants) and to the beach. Our daily breakfast provided by the hotel was always delicious. The pool was awesome and rarely used, so that became a great place for us to get some shade in the hot afternoons. We were really blown away by the attentiveness of the staff at this hotel, in particular Henry at the front desk who always was available to help us with our questions or whatever we needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other Tamarindo travellers.

Wonderful staff & the food was EXTRAORDINARY!!! Seriously. It was better than some of the 5 star restaurants I've been to. Henry & Juan Carlos and everyone there were absolutely wonderful! The next time I’m in Tamarindo I'll be staying there.
