Disappointing

I have stayed here before, and it was really good. In the intervening 2 years, The place has become quite tired - and the toilet in our room was disgusting - years of grime under the bowl rim. The shower taps need attention, as they drip unless you turn them off so tight it is nearly impossible to turn them on again. We were out all day, so never saw anyone o talk to about the problems. Won't stay here again. Shame, as the location is fabulous, and the potential for making a really great boutique hotel is huge. Needs better management and care.

Don't stay here, its a construction site!

The hotel has construction happening next door that starts at 7am and goes until 6pm. There is the sound of constant jack-hammering, concrete pumping, drilling and trucks reversing with constant beeping. In short it is a complete nightmare. Despite the construction obviously having been going on for some months there is no mention of it on the hotel's website or hotels.com. The hotel wasn't interested in dealing with the issue and simply said to email a complaint. The room was pretty ordinary too, not the funky place their advertising portrays.

The location was very handy for Fringe events and check in was easy. The room was nice enough but found the doors to go out onto the balcony rather hard to open and you could only open ine side as the other doors hit the couch when trying to open them. The bathroom was so small that the toilet was sqished into a corner and was so hard to get to the toilet paper which was behind you and the shower screen was small which allowed water to splash all over the floor and make the while bathroom floor very wet. On Soho website it says our corner room should have had Robes supplied and there were none and we noticed the housekeeping trolleys had stock for the mini bars on them for the rooms yet our room had nothing in the the mini bar what so ever. There was no one at the desk in the morning for check out so if you had any issues to raise it was just bad luck. Over all, I wouldnt stay there again, there are much better hotels in Adelaide to stay at.

Could be better

For a hotel star rating of 4.5/5 stars - this hotel can be better. The hot water kept running out and the cleanliness could be better. The service is good though. The staff are all super helpful.

It was a hot day but when we arrived in our room the air con was already on so it was nice and cool already. Big comfortable king bed. Windows were able to be opened that also had exterior type electric shutters, was nice to be able to have fresh air in the room unlike most other hotels that do not have opening windows. Disliked the shower, we had the spa suite so the shower head was above the spa bath which dribbled water out even with taps turned full on, water went everywhere because it splashed off of you while standing and there is no shower curtain or screen. After a shower the bathroom floor and surrounds were covered in water. Wish the pool was open later than 6pm, the area itself looked nice but felt the pool was too small to share with other guests so we missed out.

Facilities are way too old. The room has got a orange tiled ceiling which is super weird. The room itself is dark and the view is blocked by the construction site next to it. The biggest problem is that they dont have constant hot water. The reception is not always there. Not sure if all 4 stars hotel in Adelaide is like this. If that is the average quality of 4 stars then really you should avoid them ans go 5 stars

Construction opposite hotel window with tradies. Could open blinds the whole trip or even enjoy a swim without tradies watching. No coffee in room.

I loved that the photos were the same as the room . Comfortable bed and great price … Only minus was the shower in the spa bath . Water pressure was not the best but I’ll be back . Thank you

Let us check in early. The rooms were a good size, massive comfy beds and just a great relaxing room set up. Trying to get parking was a problem but was so impressed with the room will probably book here again
