lovely stay

Lovely stay here for a night visiting chriatmas market. close to market, train station and shopping. clean rooms. friendly staff. only issue was the constant banging of the bedroom door. we were on the 4th floor and had to wedge it with a towel which didn't completely stop it. could hear other hotel room doors banging also. was probably due to the storm coming in monday night thou

Galway is fabulous

Six lads coming to see what Galway had to offer. Checkin was pretty painless, rooms are great, enough space with massive bathrooms. Location is perfect, we had a few beers in the bar on Saturday and food was stunning too.

The hotel location is central and reduced price parking was available nearby. The hotel has been recently renovated, and it has been nicely done. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The restaurant is also quite nice, and staff members were friendly and helpful. In all, I felt welcomed and comfortable in pleasant surroundings while having all of Galway at my doorstep.

Good for One Night

Stayed here several times over the years - the refit is fabulous and the new bar and restaurant area is really gorgeous. Super busy in evenings meaning that we had to queue to get in for a drink and then given time restriction on seating. Staff great and room very clean and comfortable, if narrow. Good for one night as a stopover but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer tbh.

The bar itself was quite nicely decorated and spacious, the waiting staff were extremely friendly but definitely would need more organising, you would order a drink from one staff member, pay another and receive your drink from another different staff member and then be informed how much you owe although you already paid, quite comical but can be annoying when dealing with so many staff members just for a drink. I found our room a bit chilled at times and you could hear everything that was going on outside, it seems like the walls were paper thin. The most disappointing thing regarding our stay was the fact that our toilet flush button system broke down after the first flush and only half hour into our 2 night stay. I reported same to reception and ultimately the manager on duty took the system off the wall and left us with an unsightly mechanism for which we had to use, he did apologise but i felt insulted as while he was leaving the room he told us that there was no maintenance till after the bank holiday weekend and to go to the reception and ask for 2 drink vouchers for our inconvenience, which off course we did NOT do as that is like begging for something. I paid enough money for this room for the weekend and I also booked and paid for 3 other rooms. So in short I was extremely disappointed with this hotel and senior manager for the service we received and would find myself going elsewhere in Galway the next time I visited. I welcome any response from the hotel.

Convenient hotel with friendly service

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I chose it for its location (near the bus to Aran Islands). Although the room was relatively small and lacked had limited natural light, the staff were very friendly.

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff and service. They were following Covid protocols and felt safe there. Really a convenient part of Galway locate by Eryie’s . Wasn’t a noisy hotel, AC but we really didn’t need it.
