An ok and affordable place near Marvão

The hotel is a bit outdated and could use some renovations. It is centrally located near the heart of Castelo de Vide, close to everything in the village. They serve a decent buffet breakfast. It was ideal for an affordable 1 night stay, on our way to Marvão.

Not a modern hotel, but blends with the village

The hotel is nothing fancy, but OK, with a good price/quality ratio. The biggest downside was the breakfast which, for me, I was expecting more options from the local offerings taht you can typically eat at breakfast.

Excellent value in the portuese countryside!

The hotel is located in a small village of 3400 in the heart of the Alentajo. Absolutely charming! The hotel is what I would expect in a small village. It has everything thing one needs; rooms are large enough, the airconditioning works well, it is clean, quiet and the pool beautiful and the breakfast is light but sufficient. Most rooms are equipped with a terrace or patio and the hotel has parking. Best of all the hotel is right in town. You can walk everywhere in the village. A few negatives(depending on your perspective);In 2017 WiFi was available, though weak, in the rooms. The hotel apparently got a new router in 2018 and now it is only available in the lobby. The other is that the hotel is not modern....much more old fashioned. If you are looking for a Hyatt, then avoid this hotel. If you are looking for a good accomadation at fair price in the Portuguese countryside then I can recommend 100% the Sol e Serra. This was my third time staying at this hotel and I will stay there again in 2019!

No wifi in the room it's a big no-no. Overall a very nice stay apart from the quality of some items at breakfast, specifically the sausages,but the lack of wifi in the room is what makes me say that I will not stay here again.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the service was friendly, and the hotel had everything you could need. The location is right in the center....you walk everywhere. The pool is beautiful. In my opinion, given the rustic off the beaten tourist path, it was perfect.

Ideal location to relax

Hotel is very basic but adequate for rating and good value for money. It's fairly clean though wouldn't call it spotless. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing even considering there was plenty but just "continental". Would recommend to anyone who's not looking for luxury merely a clean place to sleep at a reasonable price.
