The villas are excellent and up to a very good standard. The overall atmosphere is very good, the reception is a bit shabby and is not matching the villas and other facilities standard. The logo seems very local while the facilities are more international. It felt that Villa Mahapala caters to Chinese guests rather than international guests.

Very close to restaurants on edge of beach. We didn’t quite understand the need to pre order breakfast each evening? Would stay again even though property is a bit run down.

Villa Mahapala - Not on the recommendation list

The reviews are really mixed about Villa Mahapala and I was hoping the better ones were more accurate. Overall very disappointing given how expensive this was. The rooms are very tired and for the price the linen felt unclean, towels had holes in them, the shower stopped working on the last day and the level of care was really low. No turn down service and had to ask repeatedly for the basics. No glasses, menus or bottle opener in the room. Bath blocked and toilet stopped working while I was there. The staff try however I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Allens from Hervey Bay

We loved the Mahapala Villas. Would hoghly recommend. Great feed across the road at Warung Sports with ice cold Bintang. Say Hi to Carolyn and Wayann. Great food and the best Aussie toilet in Bali 👍

Privacy

Overall we were happy at the Mahapala. The room was big and spacious, bathroom was great with door direct to pool, outside shower loved it. The villa was great, my only concern was there was no directory for phone numbers for reception, restaurant etc. So if we wanted anything we would have to walk up to reception or restaurant. They need to add bottle opener to villa. It was a pleasant stay. Would recommend.

Nice villa the ones at the back are very quiet staff are wonderful breakfast in villa was great but the crockery needs replacing

A little bit of luxury

With a few minor tweaks around how the service works, this villa and complex could be amazing. Nothing specific to complain about, but just little things that would enhance the overall experience. (Don't worry, I will send them an email with suggestions ;p). I had an excellent holiday, made special by the awesome staff of Mahapala.
