We had an exceptional weekend at the Gliffaes Country House. Location, staff and food was amazing. Would definitely return to this amazing place.

Relaxing Stopover

Beautiful historic building, with great views of the neighboring countryside, and a great tree walk within the grounds. Ideal for a relaxing break. We only stayed for one night passing through and it was ideal. Fantastic veranda where you can real, with a cocktail, overlooking the countryside.

Rural retreat with good book

No facilities if wet , not much attention in lounge/bar restaurant a bit bare and soulless generally, breakfast good

Lovely staff, quiet and peaceful place with the most amazing grounds and mature trees, anyone interested in old gardens,history and trees, this will make your holiday more unique.

Gliffaes Country house hotel

Had a long weekend break and was stunned by this hotel, the setting is fantastic with views overlooking the river and valley, food to a high standard, staff all friendly and accomdating. other residents too are all sociable and friendly, we bumped into a group that have been going there every year for about 30 years. only downside was limited availability of room service but with a small amount of planning that wont be an issue

Fit for a Spartan!

Myself and my brother were staying at Gliffaes for just one night before our Spartan race in Glasnusk park. The grounds the hotel was in were beautiful as was the hotel. The service for the time we were there was impeccable and we would definitely recommend it.

Good hotel for summer walks or relaxing

Comfortable countryside hotel, suited to more mature couples, not really for families or business travellers. No fitness facilities, but good bar and excellent menu.

Characterful hotel in beautiful surroundings

Stayed three nights for the Green Man Festival. Hotel has late breakfasts which suited us. Two mile walk to festival site which is very dark for return walk at night! Loads of outdoor activities available on the doorstep of the hotel.
