The rooms were updated, clean and comfortable.Walking distance to shops and food. Nice water view. Wish places stayed open later than 5:00 pm.

We were excited to be starting our vacation in Bath and really enjoyed the town. The hotel was OK. I probably would have rated slightly higher if we hadn't moved from Bath to the Hampton Inn in Kittery - which was much, much better! The room was loud. The HVAC unit was deafening and the exhaust in the bathroom made it sound like there was a shower running overhead 24/7. Breakfast was not good on either day. I ended up eating a bagel or muffin since the eggs were awful. And then our second night, a large party arrived...none of whom had any issue with allowing doors to slam for hours into the night. The second morning, there were barefoot children in the breakfast area. I usually enjoy kids, but they really should have had something on their feet - and none of the staff said anything at all. If you are going to that area of Maine, check out Kittery instead! It's not that far away and was much better.

Each stay has been great for us. The hotel is not responsible for the noise that some guests make like children running up and down the hallway after normal hours when most people are sleeping.

The location was great and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is also a grocery store a block away which was nice.

Bath-Hampton Inn

Hotel is in a perfect location for all town activities, including a beautiful library next door. Breakfast was very good and even the coffee was much better than most hotels. The young woman, at the desk when we checked in Thursday was outstanding and pleasant. She knew all about the area and provided wonderful feedback, but in a very calm and helpful way.

The room was not really clean. We found someones sock and there were M&M's on the floor in the bathroom. The staff was very pleasant. They all deserve a pat on the back.
