Good 3 star hotel near city center, good places for a foodie and near extraordinary attractions. Wish they had stronger WiFi and other amenities so I could enjoy a working, staycation.

Although the room decor is a little bare bones, it looks newly furnished. The bed was comfortable and the view of the city was nice. I really appreciated that one side of the bed was not butted up against a wall in a corner, like it is in many Japanese hotels to save space. I enjoyed sitting at the window seat just gazing out at the city. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and Peace Park. We ate breakfast at the restaurant located on the 25th floor and the views were beautiful. During this time of COVID, breakfast was not served buffet style but we were given generous portions and offered refills, which were unnecessary since the original Western style breakfast service included eggs, yogurt, fruit, soup, bakery items, waffles, sausage, and bacon. There was a self-service drink bar with coffee, tea, and juices. The English speaking staff was very friendly. Over all, it is a nice hotel.

Well located near the peace park and right at a hop on hop off bus stop. The only problem was for 3 people they squeezed an extra bed into a twin room, so there was absolutely no space between them.

Rooms are very hot during winter

The heater is to hot. We had a hard time sleeping. Please have an option to use Airconditioning or heater.

We stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hiroshima for 3 nights over the New Year period. This is a very comfortable hotel just steps from a whole neighborhood of excellent restaurants and bars and if you’re not up for walking, there’s a tram stop a short block away to access all the city sights and transport hubs with ease. We were upgraded to an Executive Room on the 24th floor and the room was very clean, spacious and had spectacular views over the city and harbour. Breakfast is on the 25th floor and provided a good selection of both Western and Japanese options and again, fabulous views while you eat. The rates for this hotel were excellent value and Hiroshima in general was much gentler on the pocket in comparison to other cities in Japan. Highly recommend hiring bikes (there’s a bike share dock just near the front of the hotel) and riding around the city. There are a lot of hotels in Hiroshima at this price point to choose from and I was extremely pleased to have picked the Mitsui Garden as our base in Hiroshima.
