All round a great hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really liked the style of the bar/ reception/ dining area. Ideal for my business trip. Already considering a social trip and this hotel is a definite consideration.

Just stayed overnight as attending hospital the next morning. Lovely bar and eating area, and room was well kitted out and clean. Staff very helpful and attentive. Great location for central Reading.

No hot water in the morning so no shower before heading off for business trip left me unimpressed. No recompense offered. The room was what I expected for the price I paid - small and basic but adequate for a one night stay for business. Very handy for Oracle shopping and restaurants.

I was a little worried about the hotel being above a big pub close to the city centre, but the room was big, comfortable and quiet. Bathroom a bit tired but clean and perfectly functional.

My experience of the hotel and the staff as such was good, but was marred by the fact that Hotels.com offered me free breakfasts which were in fact not available for the price at the hotel
