Great location, quiet and peaceful but food very expensive for mediocre choice and quality. We had $70 taken from our room while at dinner in sight of the room. Complaint to management resulted in no follow up

Beautiful location, very authentically Fijian. Accommodation clean and comfortable, but a little tatty around the edges. Prefect for relaxing and unwinding. Food good quality but limited choice - not a problem for us though. A little remote if looking to explore local area.

Loved the staff! They were friendly and helpful. Loved the beautiful setting and way the buildings fit the environment. Property needs updating and renovations. The “complimentary” breakfast needs more variety... it is skimpy and inadequate. Could easily be enhanced with little cost to Crusoes.

Accomodation is nice if you get in on special, you can be sure to enjoy the sunset here as well as the water near by, but be sure to prepare yourself with insect repellent or something to keep away the sand flies because they’re in abundance once the sun goes down. This was the last resort my partner and I stayed at in our week in Fiji. The arrival was a pleasant surprise as it delivered something the others hadn’t - a coconut to drink and a friendly welcome. This set a high bar for the expectations of the customer service here. Unfortunately it didn’t deliver thoroughly in the following 2 days. This resort is situated next to a local village and you’ll find a lot of those villagers work in and visit the resort. This is great to give you an opportunity to experience and meet some friendly people, but some of the staff left be disappointed when it came to meal times. The first night, unaware to us, dinner was a buffet without a noted price. Which we only found out of when we asked a difference staff member the following day. $35 FJD bought you 3 average cooked meats, coleslaw and garlic bread. Disappointed we prepared the following day to eat out of the resort. We came back that night to discover the next option was curry buffet. This time $50 FJD without any option of something else. It seems they don’t offer a dinner menu, only lunch and breakfast. As we weren’t prepared to eat that, we just retreated to our Bure to eat packets of chips.

gorgeous and budget friendly

Here are things that we were not prepared for based on reviews: 1) No cash policy. Everything is charged to the room and you sign vouchers throughout. There is a 3.5% charge for credit cards upon checkout Happy hour drinks are only $2 FJD cheaper. 2) Do not underestimate mosquito repellant. Crusoes is truly "in the bush". 3) Rent a car if you're comfortable driving left sided. Most aussie did. Otherwise accept that you're in a very remote location and stay on site. 4) Wifi was included with our package and we spent 3 days w/o it. The woman who checked us in (at 5pm on a Thursday, and she was the ONLY staff member to not wear a name tag throughout our 6 days) did not provide us with a wifi password and did not even tell us it was available. She also didnt tell us that the ONLY Kava ceremony was a few hours after our check in , so we missed it. She simply gave us a small, gross "Welcome drink" and our keys. She seemed very uninterested in us. On the bright side, we told the staff member named Gary this and he arranged a kava ceremony in his personal home in the village and drove us to Suva the next day. He was very friendly and so knowledgeable throughout the drive. Alcoholic drinks were delicious and fairly priced ($17-19 FJD). I ended up drinking more than I predicted. Kalessi was welcoming and always friendly. She was a joy to chat with during dinner. Joana was very helpful when checking out. We were charged for a buffet dinner w/o knowing the price, she fixed it!

Liked the location and isolation. Really disliked the fact that extremely loud and unruly outdoor partying by two large groups who also stayed at the resort, we're permitted. This happened on three nights while we were there: till 1.30 am, 4.30 am and 2.30 am. Also the prices of meals and drinks were exorbitant. A A

Nice resort with family feeling

Nice family resort. Very warm and personal atmosphere. Good snorkeling and kayaking, nice evenings with food and entertainment
