Peaceful

Everything was good, only problem we had was everything was charged really high. One night we decided to parcel our dinner from out and we asked for 3 plates their answer was since we took our dinner from out they can't give us plates instead they gave us really bad disposal plates that were charged at ₹10 . It's not the amount but where our bill came to 10,000 for everything , how can you do this to your guests.

High cost

Definitely not worth the amount of money spent on the cottage. Very next day the lights went off and there was a leak in the wash basin drain pipe. Food was average and costs you more. What's worth is the view of the lake in front of the cottage.

Pleasant Stay at Hotel LakeView - Ooty

Pro's 1.Good Ambience 2.Nice and clean rooms Con's 1.Check in at 1PM .............this is the first hotel where I experienced such a late check in time. Generally hotels allow check in by 10AM or 11AM. They took almost 30 minutes to complete the initial processing at the reception and another 30 minutes to clean the rooms before handing over the same to us. Their checkout is at 11AM. I am wondering what they were doing during those two hours instead of making arrangements to clean the room and have it ready by 1PM. I wouldn't have been bothered by the delay had I been with my friends but I was accompanied by my friend who had his one year old daughter. 2.Their morning buffet breakfast was terrible. The worst part of this is that they charged 150 per head for such a breakfast. There was no variety as well as the food was not hot. The upma that they had was the worst that I had eaten anywhere. When we took up the issue with the concerned people we did not get a proper response. They informed us that some of the guests liked the same breakfast very much.

Hotel Lake View ,Ooty - decent place close to town

The hotel itself was nice. the cottages were neat and comfortable. But for a 3 star hotel, the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The food was absolutely tasteless. Had to hunt for decent food in town each day as the hotel had such bad food. Not even the plain dal was edible....Ooty gets so cold in august, its impossible to put you feet on the floor....and the floor having ceramic tiles it was freeeeeeeezing!!!! A carpet in the living area and in the bed room would be a great comfort!

Ooty Hotel Lakeview Review

It was an excellent stay at the hotel with very good ambience. The rooms were neat & tidy and well maintained. The room service was awesome and they got all the items ordered very quickly. The climate was excellent and the spot of the hotel was very good. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend this to all. Only thing they could be improved is to have a golf cart or internal vehicle for going to the rooms because it will be difficult for old people to climb the steps.

ambience excellent

V pleasant. We stayed in Lakeview in 1997 and had good memories of the place. So when we revisited Ooty, we decided to stay here again, & are happy we did it.The food in the restaurant is also good & reasonably priced. You need to improve on the availability of TV channels & it will be useful to have an electrical tea-maker in the room.Having 24 hours hot water was great. We will stay with you again, whenever we return to Ooty!
