I was a bit disappointed with Resort. We stayed at other hotels while in Queenstown on this trip at a much cheaper rate and by comparison they were of no less standard than the Hilton. I particularly wanted to book one night in 5 star hotel (Hilton Resort) and just did not feel it was quite up to standard I wanted. Hot Tub in pool area not working, Firepit area outside not working and one of the Bars closed. Buffet breakfast was not the greatest. A few food choices run out when we arrived for breakfast.

Not happy with the reception person

Everything is ok except for the receptionist who entertained me. She asked me if I want to be a member which I gladly told her I would… she got my email ad, nothing came. On our second day she again asked my email ad.. nothing came again.. ph well

We would stay again but….

Loved the view. Room was lovely. Fireplace hard to turn on. Not enough power points for charging thing. We stayed 10 days would have loved a coat rack for wet jackets no where to put them except a wardrobe not many hangers. Water taxi was fantastic and cheap. The wakatipu restaurant was amazing. Breakfast was ok but only Emily knew how to make coffee. coffee was bad wasn’t worth paying for. Took way to long for someone to take your order and you receive your coffee. Most times we had finished breakfast I understand they were short staffed but when they are in the corner all chatty looks bad Also food was hit and miss hot breakfast was warm to cold. Disappointed to see the breakfast manager reset a table after someone left without cleaning the table or removing other dishes from table not really what you want in Covid time. The hotel offered you 2 free drinks daily if you didn’t get your room cleaned. Check the drink list we found it very poor, We loved to hear it but others won’t our alarm was about 7.20am Air New Zealand flight taking off. It’s very loud. After saying that we did love the view the room car park was great nice wide spaces pool spa was lovely. We would stay again but I feel it’s more a 4 star than 5.

Best part of our stay is the view and buffet breakfast. Amazing customer service with all the staff. Main complain is parking unless you're willing to pay $16 per day. Climbing up to the main road to get to your parked car was annoying. Windows and patio need a bit of clean up as it was full of bird droppings. Room does feel and look dated. This hotel really needs some updating. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and breakfast buffet is definitely a must!

It was close to everything, very convenient, only issue we had was how far you have to park and that the parking you have to pay for. But service overall was awesome.

Had a great time. Friendly, helpful staff, received a lovely bottle of wine & chocolates as an anniversary gift, free parking and coffees too. Spa was amazing, view was AMAIZING. Just wish the swimming pool was a little warmer. Loved our stay and would love to return.

Beautiful location & the room was good for families. A bit dated though. Had to go up to the front desk a couple of times to request coffee replenishment for 2 people as there was only decaf. All the staff we dealt with were great & very accommodating. Definitely recommend getting a deep tissue massage at the spa as well!
