The hotel part of the property was very nice! The apartment was good but did not have any views. The hotel is a long uphill walk from the train station but the apartment was a third of the distance from the station. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Great location in the cliffs of Riomaggiore, but expect some walking! It is close to the lift, offers a fantastic view and it’s close to a nice wine bar. Excellent staff!

it was okay. parking is 25 EUR per day. the room we booked doesn't have any view. it's very basic

First of all, the "hotel" which sits on top of the mountain consists of about 16 rooms, 9 of which face the sea view. Then there are "villas". A villa might have two rooms with beds that can accommodate 4 with cooking facilities. Villas are scattered down the mountain like a room in an apartment here and there. You need to be certain as to what type of accommodation you are looking for. Most villa rooms have no view. To get to the hotel is tricky as it sits on the mountain top. walking up with luggage will be impossible. You either need to go to the main church and take a lift, or wait for a community shuttle bus which runs every 45 minutes. And if you room is one of the "villas", you may have to carry your luggage back down the mountain again. Make sure you arrange with the hotel in advance.

This property is in a beautiful location with views over the town and ocease, it is well worth the walk up the hill 😀

Location is the thing that they have going for them. The breakfast is also quite well done. The room has a fantastic view from a perfect balcony for enjoying a drink and a chat! However, perhaps some attention should be paid to the mold growing in the room. Without the mold this would have been a perfect stay!

Parking was very far away. And was 25 Euro. .............................

Excellent and clean hotel with terrific breakfast and friendly staff. Up near the top of the stairs where there is less hustle and bustle and a beautiful view. Would stay here again.

We were given an apartment which was a few steps away from the hotel. The apartment was extremely clean and well kept. The only downside for our booking was that since we had the apartment, breakfast wasn't included. Our view was spectacular as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room I was given was not even in the hotel that I booked into! What I got was an old apartment without the water view promised, with a front desk that was only open a few hours a day at most, there was no continental breakfast as promised, thee were no laundry facilities that were advertised. The impatience and rudeness of the lady that met me at the apartment to check me in was anything but acceptable. Furniture was old and in some case literally falling apart. The was no restaurant present. When I asked where I could eat I got a sarcastic reply "down the hill, everything is down the hill" The advertisement for the hotel states that it is on a "terraced vineyard. Not the case. This was in a small square directly across from the Catholic church. Simply put, what they gave me was not at all what I booked. I wasn't even in the same property. There was no explanation or apology given, the price I prepaid was not adjusted. As far as they were concerned they took my money and I was given what I got. Without a doubt this is one of the worst if not the worst place I have ever stayed at.
