This hotel is a quaint property, well-located in Köln between the Belgian district and Neumarkt. The staff was agreeable and spoke a range of languages. It is a good option for a moderate price.

Old, smelly and not worth the price

Not one to usually leave reviews but feel obliged after my stay. For the price my partner and I paid I would have expected at least a curtain on the window. The room also stunk of stale cigarettes the whole time we stayed and we couldn’t get rid of the smell. It was loud, outdated and everything in there was incredibly basic and old.

Not the best hotel experience.

While the room and bed linen was clean and that it was close to trams and U ban there was not much else good about the place. We were in room 324 which was really small and cramped.It was basically in the attic and the roof struts made the room even smaller and impossible to stand up straight as you moved about on the outside side of the room. The receptionist had little local knowledge of the area and simply said she was 'not from Cologne'. The lift on our side of the building was not working which meant we had to carry our luggage up 6 flights of stairs. When asked when it would be repaired we were told 'probably tomorrow' but it never happened and I suspect that from the piles of laundry and linen in the lift doorways on all levels it has obviously not been working for sometime and probably wont be repaired in the near future. Bad value for money. Definitely would not stay here again.

Good location. Comfy beds and pillows. Plenty of clean towels provided each day. Rooms are slightly dated but it is a budget hotel, it does what it says, nothing fancy, our seond time staying here as the location is great.

Good hotel in nice neighborhood

Good walkable hotel from the neumarkt train stop with lots of restaurants and shopping to be had. The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff were very friendly. Receptionist Eric was great at checkout.
