We stayed in a log cabin in the east village. We had the fire going every night and used our saunas it was fantastic. East village is smaller and more intimate than West village. Restaurant was lovely - Clara, who served us every evening was wonderful. The food was excellent, and staff friendly and helpful. We read some poor reviews about food and staff helpfulness, but we experienced none of this. The fixed evening menu is a little basic, but we chose from the a la cart me menu and ate local dishes which were fantastic. Just because fixed menu is included in the price, it doesn’t stop you from paying a little more to go a la carte, and it is worth it. The activities were fun - but we would have liked the chance to do a smaller snowmobile tour looking for northern lights, as there were a lot of people on our tour, and would have paid more for a private tour or a tour of limited numbers. The fact that there was no daily room cleaning service didn’t bother us at all during our stay. For those who have been negative about things like room service, food, etc - we would say embrace the experience! We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

I thought that the property and everything we did there was excellent

Good remote location, tucked away place but the nearest town is only 10km. A lot of fun activities to do if you book in advance at reception, friendly staff and everyone speaks good English so easy to understand the local culture and communicate with people around. We had a great experience and would recommend this place.

The venue is overpriced for what is being offered. The igloos has no shower and the furnishing is basic, Painted wooden finishing with cheap american motel style bedding - like a hospital bed which can be angled up. The food offered as part of the package is disappointing, we were served a quarter slice of thin pancake with jam as dessert, the main was a slice of roast beef. I was back from Africa on 8 days hiking on a mountain and honestly the food served during the hike, in the middle of nowhere, is better than what is offered here. We had better accommodation and amenities in Helsinki for a quarter of the price. The sauna was not hot and we can't find temperature controls, most attractions were closed when we we were there. What sells here is the unique opportunity to sleep under the starts with a chance to glimpse the aurora. Perhaps unique for people who didn't do too many outdoors camping. For us, we camp under the starts very often. Unfortunately, there is not much else that the place has to offer.

It was unique, once in a lifetime experience. We stayed at the glass igloo, and it was a different kind of experience that we wanted. Even though we didn’t see the Northern lights, it was a magical stay. However, considering the price tag, I can’t give this a 5 out of 5

No hot shower, alredy complainting and poor service/ response from cs.

The location and the rooms were beautiful. It was like a dream. I highly recommend renting a car so you are not isolated to the hotel and over priced activities

I didnt like the fact that the restaurant dictated what the meals were. I think they would do well if they offered an highend restaurant or two

The location of this resort is perfect. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. PAYMENT - We prebooked and paid our bill in full through Orbitz. When we checked in, we were informed that we still owed 650 Euro. The next day, that bill was revised to 500 Euro. We showed all of our Orbiz confirmations, but we were unable to check-out without paying. We are currently working with Orbitz to get these charges reimburses. FOOD - The meals are a set menu - as a vegetarian, I was offered the same thing for dinner every night - plain white rice and sauteed veggies. ACTIVITIES - There is a Santa House and Workshop (gift shop). We went in middle of November and neither was open on either Thursday or Friday. We ended up with a really disappointed 6 year old. It would have been nice to know that before booking. The Reindeer sleigh ride at night was great though and the activity leaders and Simon (the Sami Guide) were amazing. OVERALL - The location was beautiful, we saw Northern Lights, and we had a nice trip. But we would never recommend anyone staying at this resort and are disappointed we have to argue about money after spending so much at the front end already.
