Great rooms that

Rooms are a good size, but this is our second time staying here and the room we were assigned had several small issues. Both lights over the desk area were out , the bathroom door would not close unless you forced it shut and the table was missing the facia trim was missing from the table. We chose to stay here on our return trip because we knew the table space was ample for us to work from but after paying a higher rate than the ample surrounding hotels we will not be returning to this location.

Hotel was really nice and staff overall friendly.... the worse was the hotel breakfast.. which i saw werent so good in past reviews... well its definitely true!. They had a server offering oatmeal eggs and bacon. Literally one scoop of eggs 2 paper thin peices of bacon and I do not eat oatmeal! The juice machines were down because of the boil water notice.....If this hotel would up their breakfast it would be awesome!

Room down for maintenance

NEVER AGAIN! Extremely disappointed in this stay. It was just one night, we were passing through. I called earlier in the day to cancel because we decided we wanted to drop down to New Orleans and was told that the cancellation period had expired so we decided to keep our original plans. When we arrived to check in they said the room we had booked was down for maintenance and had to downgrade our room, with no refund or comping. When I asked why I wasn’t called they said they never got my phone number, but apparently they had enough information to charge me. When I asked why I wasn’t told when I called they said they had no idea. The ice maker on our floor didn’t work, several outlets in the room didn’t work. When we got to the room it was 80 degrees and the AC stopped working in the middle of the night. Not only that but the hotel was PACKED with practically no one wearing masks, even though there were signs posted. We could barely find parking. I’ve stayed at this Marriott line before and it was fabulous, but I’ve never had an experience like this one. Do NOT stay here!

Hotel was very clean from lobby to our room. There was an actual breakfast, during covid. A very kind and pleasant breakfast attendant would make your plate, as needed.

Almost hate to brag

This is a hidden jewel.. Very friendly staff with clean and quiet rooms that provide a good restful nights sleep. This will not stay a secret for long as it was less expensive than surrounding hotels and yet more exceptional. I normally stay in Hampton Inns but went with a less expensive option this time and am so glad I did. Hopefully they can maintain this high quality as they become a more popular hotel in the area.

Awful service from hotels.com

The Marriott was pleasant. But hotels.com is dishonest. They sent me a picture of my room that sleeps 4 and when we arrived they had booked me a smaller room. The picture they sent me is of a different room. The town was sold out so 2 of my family members slept on the floor with no other option available. After 3 calls to customer service and admitting it’s the wrong picture and a different room they misled me to believe I was getting they did nothing to resolve the situation. Do not ever book through hotels.com.
