Service: - We are probably hotelier's nightmare guests, one with no plans and who keeps extending - And we extended from 1 night to 5 nights simply because Margaret, Stephan and their team made us feel at home. They deliver top-notch service, extending attentive and gracious hospitality and we left as friends! Food: - Lovely idea to incorporate Swiss tapas in the menu so that guests who are not familiar with the Swiss cuisine are able to have tasting portions without feeling overwhelmed. - Thoughtful gesture to include instant noodles for that one or two break from overseas cusine. We Asians need that familiar taste sometimes. Rooms (we stayed in both the chalet and the hotel room): - Spacious and clean rooms with amazing views of the snowcapped mountains - Toilets are clean and the infrastructure of the standing shower/tub is commendable and the floor doesn't get very wet. Ski Trip We were unfamiliar with the routes to Kleine Sceidegg and getting to Jungfraujoch, however Margaret, Stephan and their team were always there for us every step of the way, including going out of the way to picking us up beyond the pick-up time as it was our first time. Thank you Margaret, Stephan and team, you have made our honeymoon so memorable. We are indeed very blessed to meet you.

The service was amazing.

Loved my stay at Aloenhof...beautiful view from window and a door to an outside sitting area. I had a single room which was sufficient for my needs. The bathroom is tiny, but had great water pressure and the usual needs provided. The buffet breakfast consisting of juices, coffee, cereal, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, and breads, was plentiful and delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and available. I would choose Alpenhof again! It is close to the village shopping, restaurants, transporta toon, etc., but is a steep walk in some places.

Stayed a week and breakfast is exactly the same everyday.

Great single room was very comfortable. Restaurant closed but prob due to off season.

The view was amazing. We lived hearing the cow bells in the morning!!

There is no doubt that the steep, but short climb up to this hotel is utterly worth the view

Superb view and clean room

This property was big enough to accommodate 4 people. Since I had only booked for Airlines ticket through Orbitz for my wife and 3 year old daughter, the Hotel booking also by default took that information. I also didn't pay much attention for minor difference since knew the room was big enough. Though after reaching the Owner saw the difference and didn't believe to my explanation. She charged whooping 84 Swiss Francs for extra Adult. We didn't ask for any extra bedding and the Hotel didn't have to do anything extra. We were also out for visiting most of the time. In my view the Hotel took unfair advantage of the situation and 84 Euros additional is totally unfair. In US, Las Vegas you can book a 5 star hotel in this rate.
