Life doesn't get much better than this

We (4 people - 2 couples) stayed at The stones for 12 days during July 2022. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff is super friendly. The pool is amazing, pretty much what you expect from the photos you see. My room was on the 1st floor with a tub on the balcony with pool view. My girlfriend took some showers on the tub while listening to the live music that the hotel provides EVERY day, usually starting at the evening. Don't worry, the balcony has curtains to close so you can enjoy your shower with privacy. The food is great, especially the breakfast. You can expect your typical continental breakfast and local choices. The guys from the kitchen also cook some pretty great stuff at the spot if you ask them, like poached eggs or scrambled. We had a friend with gluten allergy but the hotel provided safe options for her to enjoy the breakfast, lunch or dinner with the rest of the group without any trouble. I must say that sometimes it took them a while to cook the gluten free food, which is normal since you have to clean everything before you can make it, but it was kinda annoying since the others already had their food for like 10-15 minutes. The hotel also arranged every trip we needed, for instance private drivers for the day, visiting Nusa Penida, picking us from and to the airport, you name it. All this with just 1 day of heads up and sometimes even on the same day they would arrange us a driver.

The best hotel in Legian a very special place

Very special hotel with excellent service. Loved the magician and the staff were just so awesome. Food very good and cocktails amazing especially at happy hour which is all afternoon! Pool great, room beautiful and we had the best time. We would 100% recommend this place.

Top Bali Hotel

Every staff member was helpful and pleasant and wanting to make sure you enjoy your stay, nothing was to much trouble for them. The hotel facilities were great and the hotel was in proximity to markets, and upmarket shopping was nearby if you wished. The beach was opposite and surf was good. The breakfast each morning was absolutely fabulous with every variety of food you could want, fresh or cooked to your requirements. I went with my 27 year old daughter and it was perfect for all ages. Highly recommend.

I've stayed at a couple of five star resorts in my time and I have to say that The Stones is up there with the best of them. The rooms are nice and cozy with great amenities. The pool and bar area is second to none and the restaurant has a great mix of local and western food. The staff go above and beyond and are so friendly and nice I got to know some of them by name. It is situated right on the beach and close to shopping and some amazing restaurants. I would recommend that anyone looking for an upscale resort to stay at should not go past The Stones!

Pros: friendly and helpful staff, swimming pool Cons: can improve in thoroughness of cleaning room. also, still not sure about bathtub on the balcony..
