You won't find any extravagance or lustor in the towns of Cinque Terre as far as I know. However, Hotel Souvenir was in a convenient location with a very friendly staff, a well-stocked breakfast buffet and clean rooms. The courtyard with their very own potted garden is very charming. Don't expect any special rooms or added comfort and you'll have a wonderful time!

Beautiful view

This location is great. We stayed in one of the penthouse rooms with a terrace and the view was amazing.

STAY IN RIOMAGGIORE

THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR. THE OWNER IS AN ARROGANT WOMAN WHO SAW MY CANE AND EXPECTED ME TO CLIMB 4 FLOORS TO MY ROOM. SHE OFFERED TO CHARGE ME MORE MONEY THAN I PAID FOR A ROOM DOWNSTAIRS. THE HOTEL IS FAR FROM THE TRAIN STATION AND WILL REQUIRE A TAXI, WHICH CAN ONLY TAKE YOU TO THE STREET AND THEN YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO WALK A LONG WAYS OVER COBBLESTONES AND SEVERAL STAIRS BEFORE REACHING THIS HOTEL. ITS NOT A NICE HOTEL TO DEAL WITH THIS OWNER. RECOMMEND YOU STAY IN RIOMAGGIORE NOT IN MONTEROSSO AL MARE. HOTELS.COM WOULDN’T RESPOND AFTER I WAITED 2+ HOURS TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION. OWNER REFUSED TO RETURN MY MONEY!

The breakfast was good. Patricia was very helpful with information and letting us keep our lugagge. Check out at 11am seems a kind of early. Too many stairs to go to the rooms. The hotel is located in a steep hill and hard to roll your carryons.

We loved the Hotel Souvenir Monterosso so much, we added a third night to our trip and were glad we did. Breakfast was included, so when we informed the staff that we would be catching an early train to Milan, they offered to pack up a sack of muffins, crackers, cheese, juice boxes to go and had it ready for our early departure. We stayed in a single room with a balcony the first two nights and moved to the Jr. Suite on day 3 due to availability. The location is delightfully tucked from a side street of one of the main streets in Monterosso. The place was truly a wonderful place. We will be back, soon!!!

The staff was amazing and very helpful, especially if you wanted to stay in the area after check out. The breakfast was really good and included. The location was great. We had the balcony room and enjoyed the view and comfort in the evening after a long day.

Everyone was very friendly & helpful. No elevator. We were on the top floor-80 steps up. Had a hard time finding it while we were dragging our bags around. No sign from Main Street that it was up the hill. Definitely got our steps in while there!!! Shower was very small and door didn’t shut very well! Nice breakfast room!

We loved the central location off the main street in the old part of town. It was near shops, take-away's and restaurants. We had the terrace on the top floor and we LOVED spending time there each evening especially. The view was amazing and watching the sun go behind the mountain while the lights of Monterosso were twinkling and church bells ringing was the best way to end each of our days. It was our anniversary so we were greeted with a bottle of prosecco which was lovely! Not enough time spent in Cinque Terre. Definitely hope to be back and at the Hotel Souvenir!

Love this place!

We LOVED this hotel! Booked the penthouse with terrace one night (would make the perfect honeymoon suite, the view is incredible! Terrace was huge!) and a regular room one other night. It's perfectly situated in Monterosso, easy access to everything and easy to find. Very clean, the breakfast was so delicious! The staff was so helpful with making dinner reservations and anything we needed help with. We hope to visit again someday!
