From Not so good to Outstanding

Upon arrival we were a bit skepticle but we immediately observed that it had been remodeled. We went up to our standard patio view room and there was a slight smell of sewage. Also the view was not of a patio but of an ugly wall on the sixth floor. Although the room was beautifully remodeled and full of details incorporated in the remodelling, we could not pass the smell and view although i requested stoopers for the videt and wash biwl and that remedied the smell, but the view was something we were not used to while travelling. We spoke to the front desk and for 30 euros per nite we were placed in a better category suite with big fridge, stove top and many extras including a balcony, giant TV, better climate control and many more extras. So we were happy. I selected a room that by virtue of the photos and price were a bit misleading, but the staff was extremely cooperative and helped make the situation much better and we were sooo grateful. The hotel has been beuatifully remodeled and if they can improve some infrastructure problems with the plumbing it would surely go to a 4 star. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again but beware of the standard priced rooms and the photos. The Hotel needs to be more accurate on there description, picture and warning of potential issues with some.rooms. But as I said all was solved at 30 euros per nite and well worth it with all the extras and li ed the place. Stayed ultimately at suite 1005 on third floor. Thanks staff!

Disappointing for the price

The hotel is ideally located in the old town, not far from the beach, transport network and leisure activities. However my room had no natural light and had the view over a wall, despite being clean and having a comfortable bed. I was very disappointed as I had booked the hotel especially as it offered breakfast and paid more than I gad planned when I was told in the morning that yhe breakfast was served inthe café next door and received a poor breakfast with a coffee, an orange juice made from concentrate and a croissant- I did expect a bit more for the price! Furthermore I asked for an iron and was told by tye receptionist that it wasn't a three-star hotel so they didn't have it. I happy to support the hospitality sector after the pandemic but I would expect a standard of service for £65 per night.

Overall the stay was good. The room was clean and cleaned every day. The free breakfast wasn’t so good at all. You have a very limited option. You can have 1 croissant or 2 slices of toast. A hot chocolate tea or coffee. An orange juice or water. The toast was burnt everyday and the hot chocolate was cold on most days. This was served next door at a coffee shop. Wasn’t expecting this at all

As previous reviews show, location is excellent and staff couldn’t be faulted. We appear to have been fortunate in having a kettle in our room, albeit without the usual accompaniments, but as it wasn’t expected it was a bonus. The entrance to the hotel was strange, with it comprising of 2 different hotels, but after the initial shock, not a problem. It could use a little TLC, but that appeared to be underway

The hotel was in an ideal location, closevto the old town and ths beach. It was very clean and staff were pleasant and helpful. No hotel bar to relax with a ciffee or drink
