The staff at the Amala are incredibly friendly and service was exceptional. We were treated very well during our stay, and little details were looked after without us needing to ask. The service was very attentive. The gardens are beautifully maintained and we felt as if we were in our own sanctuary. Food was clean and delicious. The Spa provided one of the best massages we have ever had. Quiet and serene atmosphere - almost no guest noise at all. Highly recommend.

The Amala is a beautiful and intimate property that really takes care of their guests. The staff knew us by name and there wasn’t a time where we weren’t greeted when we entered a room. The breakfast was very good, as well. My husband and I enjoyed our stay here.

The villa is clean, comfortable with good service. Our stay was pleasant, and the location worked well. The main pool isn't great, but villas have small private pools which are nice (nit Fabulous). All in all a good stay.

Stayed 1 night in the Spa villa. Bath salts, herbal bath sachet and bath oils were provided which was perfect with the tub. Shower had a steam option. Beds were comfortable and there was surprisingly no mosquitoes in the villa - very impressed considering how much we have been bitten on the trip. Complimentary breakfast that you have to call in and book your options the night before. Very extensive breakfast selection that will start your morning right. It will be served to the room and you can enjoy it in the comforts of your pajamas. Complimentary airport shuttle service was provided. We came from another villa in the Seminyak area and they picked us up in the morning. Additional charges apply if you require a pick up outside Seminyak, Legian, or Kuta area. Our airport shuttle when departing was late for half an hour per scheduled timing as it was serving another guest prior. There was a complimentary shuttle to places in the area but we didnt enjoy any of that as they were all occupied at various timings. The only comment was that the property was a little aged which can be seen on the walls and floors. Also, not sure if it's because we stayed only one night, the service was good but felt like other guests were served more hospitably. The property had many Japanese guests which perhaps was a tour or package arrangement and felt like preferential treatment was given. Nevertheless, a great stay. But given the steep price (S$350/N in Apr), may not stay again.

Every thing was amazing, from the staff to the amenities. Super friendly people. Will give you a ride anywhere in town for free and recommendations on what to do and where to go.

Advantages: 1. Free airport transfer 2. Room requests met , i.e. request for better insect control 3. Friendly staff (very friendly!!) 4. Optional yoga classes, some free Disadvantages: 1. If it's rainy season, you'd be in for a shock given the room layout means rain water will make the interior wet. White marble flooring only made it more slippery and hard to detect water gathered. 2. Wooden floors inside rooms also slippery and accident-prone as it was in our case 3. Owner happened to be on site and she could learn a lesson on customer service, not demand guests to tell her where we want to go. She can ask nicely, upon making herself known, not just randomly charge into a family conversation. 4. Price point

I can't recommend this place enough, it was an absolutely amazing experience having the privilege to stay at this beautiful hotel. Every detail was so thoughtful, sustainable, environmentally conscious, peaceful and serene. The welcome massage was lovely, and our discounted honeymoon massage was absolutely incredible. The staff was unbelievably kind and caring, and always available. We woke up excited every morning to have a delicious and healthy array of breakfast dishes every morning (strawberry pancakes are a must!). There was complimentary yoga in the morning and evening was really unique, we learned so much about yoga, bali and medication. The room was a dream (we splurged for the private pool and will never regret it), it was just incredible, from the private pool that always had flowers in it from the tree above, to the relaxing outdoor tub, and the MOST comfortable bed. We will never forget this place and will definitely come back soon!

Calm haven - super staff and excellent service. Lots of little extras like yoga class and airport pick up.. looking forward to going back
