Definitely recommend

Been on a roadtrip for a couple of weeks now and this is by far one of the best hotels we have stopped at the staff was amazing and the room was clean there's also plenty of places to eat late nearby and it's very close to universal studios

Great!

Stayed here for a 2-day trip to UniversalStudios, was not disappointed. Boyfriend and I were given a deluxe king room upon arrival which the front desk showed us to, as well as parking and places to check out near the hotel. We were also given a map for a 15 min walk to Universal that goes by a shopping center and bus stop. If you just walk the opposite direction its a 15min walk to another one on the edge of North Hollywood. Room was clean and modern with a nice big shower and AC. We were in their new building so there were succulents hanging all around the outside area and easy foot access at all times to rooms. Parking is limited but right infront of the rooms or get street parking nearby, they put up black traffic cones in the entryway after 10pm. Overall was a great stay and location was very close to a lot of good eateries and the Universal Park.

Quaint and quiet. These 100 plus years cottages are upgraded and comfortable and surprisingly roomy. Xavier at the front desk was sweet and helpful. We got there before we could check in he and my husband had a nice discussion about jazz and music and movies. This place is a sweet little gem.

Convenient and Clean in Studio City, CA

Super-clean, personalized hotel experience on Ventura Blvd in Studio City near Universal Studios, restaurants and shopping. The room service was great and the staff very amenable and friendly. Every time I have been here, it has been a very hospitable stay.

El Royale -- a pretty good stay.

The El Royale staff treats guests in the same manner as the Ritz Carlton (and yes, I've stayed at the Ritz and other super-luxury resorts). Among other things, they brewed fresh coffee and brought it to the room. That's truly amazing service for a small strip motel. So, there's the upside. The downside is the location. If you're in a room close to Ventura Blvd., be prepared for street noise. Also, the room air conditioner is next to the bed, which makes for more noise. Finally, there was the scent of urine in the room. My guess is that a stray cat was marking territory outside. Not much that the facility can do about this, because again, the location is right on Ventura Blvd in the heart of Studio City -- a very dense and active urban environment. In sum, El Royale is a pretty good choice for a short stay in Studio City and looking to save money on accommodations.
