The hotel was very good. Only thing I found that could be improved is the staff knowledge of transport options to the airport. Only option offered was we will book you a cab. There is other options available which would of been helpful.

Not so many hard edges everywhere in the design. The beds did not look like doors. Soft duvets gave a gentle look.

Almost the best

We always find the IBIS on Grenfell Street very comfortable and conveniently located for attending shows in the Adelaide Festival. It is also very close to the Adelaide Fringe festival. I do think it is a shame that by booking this accommodation through Hotels.com I was not provided with free IBIS Wifi. There seemed to be a glich in accessing my own Wifi in the hotel as well. Very inconvenient when we needed to book an Uber to the airport.

Good - but why the deposit?

Was definately clean, well located. Fair price although the 20% deposit (upto$200) was a bit extreme. Would be cheaper if they accepted my wifes creditcard but they didn't because she wasn't with me. Fair enough i guess but there was no minibar items so wondering what the deposit was for.???

Good central accommodation

This was our second visit to this hotel for the Adelaide Festival. It is very well located and a 8 minute walk to the gardens for the Writers’ Week talks. Although the rooms are not large they are very well designed so there is a place for everything. A couple of our party of 13 reported not having their tea/ coffee/ milk replenished fully and neither the top or bottom sheets on my bed covered the last 6 inches of the mattress. However we were particularly impressed with the reception staff who ordered a maxi taxi when we had anticipated need two taxis for 5 of us. We will be returning next time! A shout out for Sylvia’s cafe off the lane on the East side of the hotel with an impressive sandwich bar and good coffe.
