Spatious room, not too far from the train station. The room i booked had Japanese futons which were really hard which, I assume, is how the Japanese like them. The onsen was good. They have a couple of private baths as well that you can book.

Onsen was wonderful, The staff went above and beyond to make your stay a positive experience.

Very nice property, staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is quite central to a lot of good food and restaurants. The room is well appointed and set up nicely with a complimentary phone/guide that you can take with you. The dining areas were clean and and the serving staff was kind. I do wish the onsen was a bit hotter, and also the food could be upgraded - the food was good, but more on the basic end.

We were supposed to stay at the hotel 2 nights, but got stuck at some intermediate train station the first night because of a typhoon, with the train being delayed and delayed and then canceled. It was a difficult, exhausting night, more stressful because our Japanese is limited. The hotel staff was so good to us, and helped us check in the next morning when we finally got in—outside of normal check in hours—and didn’t charge us for the first night that spent at the train station. And the hotel was lovely. Traditional Japanese but with the major convenience of a private bathroom. Kind staff who also gave us great advice on where to find fabulous ice cream. (Omg that ice cream. All sorts of tea flavors.) Clean, well-maintained, conveniently located.

The staff is kind and the accomodation is nice. It is very close to the red lamp District.

It is a nice osen hotel, not the trandition type, but still show it's age. The staff are nice and friendly. A bit far away from train station but still within walking distance.

The location fo the property is good. But the room is old and not clean.

In centre of Beppu town close to shopping streets, area around at night has a lot of clubs, but safe. 5-10 mins walk from Beppu train station. Japanese room for 3 was spacious and well laid out. There was an onsen, which could get crowded at busy times. Room was clean. Parking is available for 500yen.

The room is nice,clean and spacious. Location is good.

It's my first experience in a ryokan. It's nice. This ryokan has thermal baths. I have enjoyed it. So relaxing. The tatami is harder than I expected, but I walked up without stiffness.
