Pathetic

Not cleanly, not safe. Definitely not quiet. Cops were onsite multiple times. When we got our first room assignment we went up to the room. Bathroom was not clean, hair on the floor, trash on the floor, tub had not been clean. Our second room was on third floor, cleaner but not quieter loud tenants surrounded us even well into the night hours. There were holes in the furniture, and it sounded like people were trying to get into the room. Even though we had the room locked we could not sleep due to not feeling completely safe. Customer service of the place is a joke to all the staff that work there. They would leave randomly and stand outside smoking even after seeing us standing there. We checked out a day early due to all the problems we experienced. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash to spend the night somewhere safe and quiet.

I’d stay here again.

This is a good place to stay. I’ve had some bad experiences with this type of extended residence property, but everything was good at this one. Not too noisy, friendly staff, etc.

This was my free room...

I have stayed at the American inn motel previously. The first room was very nice, clean, had all the cable channels, wifi, and good cell phone coverage. First I always try to request a bottom floor room. They didn't have any in smoking. When I got to my room it wasn't what I expected. The bathroom was nasty. There was broken glass on the floor. The shower head in the bathroom was crappy. The furniture was outdated. The TV didn't even have a TV stand. None of the cable channels worked etc Starz, HBO, Max, Showtime none of them worked. The cable channels just kept saying contact your provider. I called downstairs and the front desk told me that it is probably the connection. Check the cables or move the TV around. The wifi half-ass worked. The floor was very uneven the top blankets had cigarette burns all over. The refrigerator had someone's left over food still in it. I attempted to call downstairs on an out of date phone was out on hold forever. There were not enough outlets to charge my phone. Had to plug it up by the bathroom sink. The other room I stayed in had it by the bed. (Convinent) The heat and air worked great. At the end of the day this was not one of my favorite stays at the American Motel.

The Sketchiest Motel I've Ever Stayed In

Now, I've stayed in quite a few motels, but this one was very different! The first thing you'll notice when you get to the motel is the fact that it is difficult to find as it is tucked in behind another hotel and shares a driveway with a gas station. The next thing you'll notice is that the check-in area has bullet proof glass separating you from the cashier, and a one way locked door in between. If you spend enough time looking, you'll find the police officer/security guard that watches the place at night. Feel like you're gonna get stabbed in the middle of the night yet? Why else would you need all this security? And we haven't even gotten to the room yet! In the room, you'll find there's no TV, the air conditioner doesn't work and there's no covers on the bed, just the fitted sheet over the mattress! When they say no frills, they mean ZERO!

First the room i got when i walked in was nor clean beds not made... no housekeeping done... and customer service slow and unprofessional

Check in was super easy. Disappointed because there was no breakfast, saying it was because of Covid when that wasn't the problem in KC.

Horrible bedbug bites.

Got about a dozen bedbug bites on my back and neck area. The "remodeled" room smelled of pot smoke and had holes in the bathroom door. The towels smelled funky. I am so mad about the bedbug bites!!! STAY AWAY!
