beautiful hotel, top of mountain area on its own. close to the caves. lots of things close by to see. took a while for receptionist to show up, parking was full...but found a way without bothering anyone. needs some TLC, beautiful property, getting old. AC needed but fan works. nice people.

Good, safe location. The dinner we had there was excellent! The interior hallways have the most worn out/through, faded carpet I have ever seen 😝 it was disgusting. There was also a strange (not good) odor in the hallway leading to our room. The room needed painting but thank goodness it had newer carpet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Historic doesn’t have to mean worn out.....please take note property owner

Would loved to have stayed here in 1910. 2020 not so much. You can see how it was once a grand hotel, but besides a coat of paint on the outside it looks like it's never been updated. We had 14a. 2nd floor with a humongous balcony that only our room had access to. We could've walked the entire length of the upper floor balcony and looked into others' rooms if we chose. Kind of creepy. Bedroom was large. Two twin beds (?) against a king headboard. Peeling wallpaper. Threadbare stained carpet. A throw carpet with edges peeling up to trip on. Oh the bathroom! Chipped sink that couldn't be scrubbed clean. Gross louvered glass window that was covered in grime and bugs. And my biggest pet peeve - no pressure in the shower, with water that was either cold or hot. I'm a fan of character and charm but this was neither. This place needs a massive capital investment. Positives were the front desk woman was pleasant and location is nice easy walk to a couple of restos.

Had to walk up stairs, the photos did not match so it was misleading. The room said fully refurbished... it wasn't. Room was dirty. No fly screens on windows, no air conditioning...just a fan full of dust and dirt. The bathroom was so out dated tares in lino and dirty. The spas were dirty and had mould in them.

Nice historic hotel with great food prices. Within walking distance of activities.

Liked the proximity to other restaurants. Disliked the condition of the hotel and our room compared to the "photo enhanced" pictures. The outside entrance to the building was in great need of painting. The rugs even in the lobby were worn, the paint throughout the building was peeling in places. The staff was not friendly and hard to find at times. There were no toiletries in the bathrooms as per the pictures. We had to find staff and ask for soap. The bathrooms are minuscule. Could hardly turn around, and we are thin people. We arrived after a 7 hour drive, tired and would loved to have seen a smiling face. No mention of no elevator and no air conditioning in the ad.

Terrible maintenance and overall condition. Current owners must be planning to run this old hotel into the ground.

Didn’t like much, very run down and staff were not friendly

It was close to the attraction. I'm sure this was a nice hotel in its day but nearly zero upkeep. The bed was clean, but the carpet was stained and the doors were dirty. Looking out the bathroom window was appalling to see a moss and dirt covered landing.
