What I liked was that this hotel is favored and patronized by Mexicans, and is not a typical Americanized hotel. The price reflected this. I appreciated the opportunity to stay here because of these factors. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The accommodation was very basic. If you're looking for something like an American hotel this is not the place for you. Hotel Isabel is more like an old motel. The location was pretty good for exploring the surrounding area on foot. I've not rated this at the top of the ratings since from my arrival to departure my room had an obnoxious odor from the bathroom. It was so bad I had to be sure and close the bathroom door. I reported it and they had maintenance take a look and offered me another room. The odor diminished considerably following a visit from maintenance so I stayed put. However it soon returned and I suspect was a drain issue. This place is quite old. However, overall I'm glad I had this experience.

Very inexpensive, clean, comfortable and in a safe area. I would return.

My room had a number of issues that were not resolved during the stay. 1) the blow dryer didn't work -- maintenance came to check on it, removed it from the wall, and did not leave me with a blow dryer. When I asked for one from the desk, they told me to bring it back asap for other rooms. I get that, but I didn't know if one was coming back to the room (I stayed for 4 days) 2) The tv didn't work. When I asked about it, they talked to me about making sure it was plugged in, red light, etc. It wasn't a big deal because I wasn't watching tv much, but I like background noise. 3) The hotel is loud and bright. There's not a lot the hotel can do about other guests being loud, but you should just know that you can hear everything. The curtains are pretty useless, so even though they were closed, all of the light comes through. You are, however, getting what you pay for. The hotel itself only charges about $22 a night.

The place was fine a little bit noise also in my room 702 the bathroom has a strong odor ( maybe something to look at for future references ) but other than that the rooms are just fine thanks so much ☺️

Great hotel. Just needs more electrical outlets and making sure the rooms have assigned parking.
