Sal’s is owned by Joan and Danny and from the time I got checked in until I left they took such good care of me. As a solo traveler I appreciated the information I was given. Joan gave me such good ideas that I ended up changing some of my plans so I do some of her suggestions. The apartment was clean, i had the use of their beautiful backyard and deck, the breakfast was great but the company during breakfast with Joan telling me about Nova Scotia was even better.

A perfect b&b along a beautiful cove at the opening of the ocean, where you can watch the marine traffic go in and out if Halifax Harbour. The hosts Joan and Danny (and Willy) are very lovely people, easy to have a great conversation over coffee and get directions to wherever your going to next. The suite was perfect and the breakfast was excellent.. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay, welcoming and accommodating host

I stayed for four nights at this lovely bed and breakfast. Joan and Danny were wonderful and very accomodating of my needs (I was travelling with my guide dog who they made very welcome). Joan was attentive and great company. Brekfast was plentiful and delicious, the suite was very clean and homely and the garden area and wharf overlooking the water was a bonus. There is a bus into Halifax within 3 minutes walk and a pizza restaurant across the street; approx 25 minute drive into Halifax or 25-30 dollars in a taxi. I would recommend this place highly.
