Property is great. The staff is awesome. Some of the cabins are quite small but others are large. It makes a difference if you are planning on cooking your own meals. The restaurant is under construction. Overall, if you want to take an adventure to a beautiful island but you're concerned with being surrounded by the nicest amenities, then this place is amazing, on an amazing beach and will save you money right now. Great place if you're wanting luxury but want an authentic Caribbean vacation.

Beach was beautiful. The room was very clean. Only thing missing was a restaurant/ bar.

I loved the beach view it made it easy to experience true island living . The room was not the best the door looked like a patio door and made it uncomfortable to sleep at night , also the bed to sleep on was very itchy it felt as though we were not sleeping alone because we woke up every morning with what appeared to be bug bites on our skin. We didn’t both to complain because it was evident they are still recovering from hurricane damage but it does need some more work .

Loved the beach and the quiet. The room had quite a few issues: loose faucet fixtures, light switches loose. There was a huge cockroach one late afternoon. Door had large gap, which is probably how the cockroach got in. Wi fi only worked close to office area. Pool area had cracked tiles. Run down property in need of some major repairs.

I’ve had friends stay here before and it was awesome! One of the cheaper ones. Not a problem, I’ve visited before. We got in past the time the front desk works until (4), so they left the key in our room for us with the door unlocked. This made us extremely uneasy, especially finding out we only got one key not knowing if someone took the other. We went to explore the island while it was still daylight. When we came back around 10 that night, there was a busted pipe outside of our room. Our condo has zero water and after flying and exploring the whole day, we just wanted to shower. We called every number left for us to call and no one answered. We went to the front desk and their office door was unlocked!! We walked to the house on the property and woke up a really nice and helpful lady who actually walked us to the maintenance man’s condo to wake him up and let him know. She says he has sleeping problems so it’s hard to wake him up but he acted more drunk. It took us several tries to get him to even come LOOK for himself. When we asked if he could fix it, he laughed and told us “maybe tomorrow” and that we have a roof over our heads so we have a place to stay, water or not. We actually went to stay with my parents who live on the island for the night. We were comped for that night. Although, we paid $157 per night BEFORE property taxes and were only given 125. The pool was “closed for maintenance” on Christmas Day so he (Same guy) could have a party with his friends. Sad.

The hot water did not work. Switched rooms and the a/c didn’t work in the new room. The water facet was falling off the wall in the shower. Overall huge disappointment.

This property initially was a good value when booking and appeared to meet our needs. When we arrived, the staff was kind and helpful at check-in and the houses looked cute from the exterior from the initial view. However, we did not realize that the property was under construction and there was no restaurant or bar service offered. There was roped off damage and construction not actively being repaired, but clearly from the hurricanes 2 years ago. All of that could be overlooked, however, the room did not have acceptable housekeeping, someone came in and made the bed and emptied the trash, but that was it, no cleaning and no pickup of dirty towels/washcloths and no clean towels/washcloths were left. We even specifically requested clean towels/washcloths and they still were not given to us - we spent 3 full days there, with no clean linens given. Also, the room had some minor repairs that were needed (broken mini blinds, so people could see into the bathroom). We chose to spend our days on other resort beaches, specifically the Buccaneer, because the property was nicer, the amenities offered and the beaches/water was nicer (the sand in the water at Chenay Bay resort was like mud- not soft sand like typical other beach water). Overall, the price was good, but you get what you pay for...our suggestion would be for this resort to step up its level of service and finish the construction. Otherwise, our recommendation would be to pay the extra and go elsewhere.
